thanks for the good wishes BB, that was very constructive. Today is day one and I'm going to get back on track. Unsurprisingly I've got a gain this week of 0.,4kg which is not as much as I deserved. My aim is to shift that again by next week. Alas chilling out in the bath is strictly a nono at the mo as there is no hot water. Managed to get a replacement washer last night but found out this morning that OH's computer is on it's last gasp and something has gone wonky and wiped out half the power sockets in the house. Blub. Today is a red day, I'm off to buy a rotisserie chicken and eat it ALL!!!! ( I'll leaveit in the bag for a bit so that the skin goes all soggy and yakky first though.

WOw to all those losers - some spectacular results this week especially from Annie, Starelight and Clutterbunny. LGDNUFUC - BB's explanation is very good but for added clarity try gettng a SW magazine - they have loads of ideas and have a 7 day plan that will illustrate how to get on with it. laters allxx

Hi, yes I am an atkins dieter! I have lost 2 stone since may. I do have "cheat" days every so often where staying on atkins would be difficult ie- just been on a riding holiday in the pennines, couldnt really ask the B&B to change the menu for me. If you miss bread have crisp breads they are only 6gms of carb each, I also treat myself to diabetic chocolate from simondunn they are lovely and have no sugar. I stock up on meat from markets where they do deals on it, and I buy frozen veg and microwave it when I need it so it doesnt go off. I but vitamins from holland and barrat on their better than half price sales. I buy low carb pasta in bulk of the net for my partner so he doesnt miss it! cant think of any more tips at the moment.
November £10 a day challenge. Im starting early- 66p so far!

Ajax had an AWOL couple of days due to having an audit to do at work. Was half-heartedly attempting to catch up, when BANG!!! WHat's happened in the meantime? Who annoyed my petrichor? (OK, Suggs' petrichor really, but I like to muscle in).

Can't have just been the thing about victory's chicken meal (they were obviously two different meals).. what's going on? WHat have I missed?

    I'm all sad now :(

There is a book called the idiot proof diet that is a more friendly version of Atkins

The website that runs alongside it is http://www.pig2twig.co.uk/

Just a maintain for me this week. I think it is my body evening itself from a big loss last week. Hoping for a reasonable loss next week to take me over the 6 stone loss (please!!!!)
