Well done Bb re the trousers :j pot bellied pig
:rotfl: :rotfl: ...
...Nice to have you back with us rachelmk :T and to only have gained 7lbs:j well done! I'm sure that you will find it easier to lose this last stone or so now that you're content with your life. Have a great time on Saturday ready for day1 on Sunday :j ...
...Thanks justmarried for expanding on the calorie theme this morning :T I got a bit carried away again, and as I'm not eating the standard 3 meals a day thing at the moment, it never entered my mind. That's the beauty of this thread, there is always someone here ready to give additional (and very good) advice :j .
.... buying all the WW products which is not very MSE but it stops me from thinking ..... the only thing is the portions are obviously measured out and prepared for you but to me they are not big enough:rotfl: the meals are bulked out with a huge amount of veg ....
....that isthe price you pay for convenience I guess:eek:
I was pleasantly surprised that after I allowed the food to go down and think about it I was not really hungry ....
I used quite a few ready meals during the year as it was calorie counted and portion controlled and found them to be a great help. Like you, I add extra veg or serve it with a chopped salad of onions, cucumber, celery, tomato, peppers etc. I got used to the portion sizes and think nothing of it now, finding them perfectly adequate. In addition to WW I use quite a lot of the Tesco healthy living range, and their other dear ones the name of which escapes at the moment :rotfl: For MrP and DD I would cook a separate meal of whatever they wanted and it was only when I started to menu plan, that I stopped using ready meals and made healthy stuff for all of us. This has been great and very MSE, but with this strange phase I'm going through, I can't be bothered, and meal times, for me, have fallen by the wayside. As I can't get away with not eating an evening meal as MrP is home early today, I shall have to have a ready meal. So for the family it will be baked breaded fish and low fat oven chips, I still do the healthy versions for them as they both need to lose a bit of weight, and I shall have a ready meal if I have to.

good with colours? My OH has a reference with that - something to do withthe fact that men are like windows(that is the computer programme) they only see 16 colours. Mmmmmm, i like porrdge for breakfast. Bit bummed that Weetabix have twiddled with their seriously oaty porridge as I think it may no longer technically be a HEB anymore as it has less fibre in it. I don't care though, I had it this morning with an options white chocolate stirred into it and WOW!
okay, here it goes, apologies in advance to all the other forummers . . .
Although my box is now oiled and waxed, anything i put in it will come out slightly greasy and with a bit of a fragrance.

Victory - is eating pre-cooked meals just a temporary fix, as I wouldn't recommend it for any length of time? Readymeals tend to have additives and hidden ingredients that you're better off without, and even WW meals can have more fat in them than home cooked food. (Not to mention the cost!) It's easy to become obsessed with weight loss and healthy eating, but now that you've got to your goal you need to relax - I know you're worried that you will pile all the weight back on, but that won't happen overnight just because you have one 'non-diet' meal, or even go off the rails for a day or week - especially as you have to consider your intake because of your diabetes. Maintaining is all about keeping an eye on your weight and making slight adjustments if you need to, i.e. if you're still losing weight, or if you gain a little.

It was a way of not having to talk about/think about/preprare/shop for food constantly as H is not keen on it;) The cost of it I was surprised at when the bill came at Asda last night ,don't think H was all that impressed:rotfl: :rotfl: some of the WW meals I have to avoid because of their high content of sugar on just run of the mill things that you would not think needed so much sugar in to make them:rolleyes: the fat is always 3% or lower than I buy, preferably 2% or less and the 0% greek yog. It is the old thing of trust in me, I like to eat and feel as long as I eat healthy/WW stuff then the chances of a regain is less likely, I thought about the same as the family but less portion for me but that does not seem to work for me as I resent the fact they have an abundant plate and I have ...the little bit that is left;)
Welcome back rachel :j :j0 -

I think to a degree WW portions are idiot proof, it says on the packaging what the calorie count is how many points you use up by eating that food for that day....
I have spent numerous hours in the kitchen with my two favourite books WW time to eat and cook yourself thin and it has taken hours upon hours of my time to try and get it right...I am taking time off and giving my kids and H a bit more of my time instead of to the food but I don't want to suffer weight gain by taking my eye off the ball by just eating whatever they are having or whatever is in....
I am well into the points, I have done calorie count, I have done cook from scratch, I like the points because I know exactly how many I am allowed and work towards that each day...
I can't eat them without veg as they are not filling enough but I must say that combined they are doing the job...
WW recommend M&S count on us range and Sainsburys be good to yourself portion/calorie controlled meals, yes some of them are high in salt/sugar fats but avoid those and all is well...
My family have what they want as they have no weight issues and I have what I want because I have weight issues:D0 -

I tried waxing and buffing my chest a while ago, must of used too much wax though, still bits of wax there
You should have gone to a proper beautician Suggs - there's a good one in NP, I'm always trying to persuade DH to go and get his chest waxed
