So Birmingham CAB subscribe but what about all the other CAB offices?
Plus you stated they got their training courses through them. What evidence do you have for that ?
Do the Royal College of Nursing also do their training through them?
Then again I love the free speech on here, even though some of it is wrong. So I use both

Thats why I like both forums
Sadly CAB, whilst very good, is not a realistic alternative to many people because their office is too far away / too busy.:(“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0 -
Is this a joke? So the b&w site state they are great etc etc and we are supposed to take it as fact.
I've read the guides and they are OK, as are the forums. But it's not rocket science after all.

Well indeed. No one is going to post adverse reviews of their courses are they!
I thought the way CAB was mentioned was a bit disingenuous. While the offices operate under a general banner there is quite a lot of autonomy - training is an example. There are over 300 CABs and, while, I accept that it wasn't a full list of subscribers I could only see 4 CABs listed.
We get free access to Rightsnet - I think that's a very good source of information, personally.0 -

You can take it however you like, makes no difference to me“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0 -
I enjoy reading Rightsnet. Another great free resource.
I just don't like the way b&w hawk their wares, if you will, to get people to subscribe to their guides.
I find their site poorly laid out and generally unprofessional looking. I mean come on, a long list of names and profossional sounding job titles all giving glowing reviews, its Ebook selling 101.
In my opinion there are much better free resources out there to help people navigate the benefits system.

DT is a subforum of The Moneysavers Arms.
And usually a very unpleasant place to mention the "benefits" word :mad:0 -
To illustrate the diference between here and the B&W forum.
Someone asks a question about holiday abroad when on benefits;

I love the light moderation and freedom of speech we get here. But thats the price you have to pay when anyone can stick their oar in, however ill informed.“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0
