Not sure if this link will work...if not I'll try and copy and paste...

...just checked and it works fine for me. But let me know if it doesn't for you. It includes the cuts in PIP and charges at 45 per minute for phone calls to the DWP, and the responses from said department

Aside from the Moral aspect, I suppose the Government has restricted the £30 ESAWR cut to new claimants because they don't exist yet to make a fuss about it.
But won't it deter existing claimants from taking a job in case the job doesn't last and they have to sign back on at the lower rate?

Er, the reason they are on ESA in the first place is because they have passed the WCA (i.e. too ill to work). The WCA is one of the most stringent tests for disability in the Western world and many ill and disabled people don't pass it even thought hey should. There has always been something for people who wish to work therapeutically - it's called Permitted Work. You are speaking as if 1) disabled people gets loads of money (not true at all) many disabled people are bullied with sanctions which is disgusting in a civilised society and 2) that most people wouldn't want to work given the choice. You can't equate disabled people with healthy people on JSA because many disabled people are unable to work hence the WCA. But even healthy people on JSA shouldn't be treated so appallingly either. There is a nasty assumption, perpetuated by the RW government and their mouthpiece aka the Daily Heil et al that people don't really want to work! Most people want to work in the wider sense of work (that is, to use one time's constructively) regardless of whether they are paid or not. But full time employment is a thing of the past. There's been a digital revolution in case you'd not heard and therefore the only way forward is the Unconditional Basic Income which I fully support and is gaining traction, especially in Europe.

As you're fairly new to this board, you may not be aware of the 'sticky' at the top...

To discuss the benefits system itself and issues around it, the appropriate place isn't here but the Discussion time Board

    Hi NYM

Apologies. But I thought putting information about the latest issues affecting benefits claimants would be in the Benefits & Tax Credits forum here? It's a minefield trying to find one's way round!

Yes, so how could the poster add this to the sticky? A little confusing.
