I can't see a sticky at all! In any case, I hope they move it to the right place...I am a member of Benefits&Work and their newsletters and information are invaluable to people.
I don't see that what you put was in the wrong place, personally.
The stickies are on top with the little locked symbol on them, so you cannot add a post to the topics anyway.0 -

Thw thread needs to be in discussion time, not on the sticky thread. You'd know that if you bothered to read said sticky.0 -

Me neither, Ev8. It's not very helpful or friendly to jump on people when the forum isn't at all easy to navigate and stickies, what stickies?!
At the top of each board there's usually at least one sticky - sometimes they cover FAQs but on the Benefits Board it tells you the board's purpose. It's always advisible to read these first otherwise you get off on the wrong foot or waste people's time by asking questions that have already been answered/discussed many times.
Discussion Time is at the bottom of the Forum page and is an area for general discussions, including those on benefits policies. MSE is pretty easy to navigate, with many ways of doing so - I'm sure we all move around in different ways, depending on our needs and interests.
It isn't very friendly for a newbie to get cross with someone who's offered help on Forum usage - you need to read and learn.

If it's me, I wasn't aware that I was rude at all.
To be honest, how many people come on a forum and read all the stickies and rules? Most just start posting, especially on these type of forums, a lot of us are not well with certain things that makes heavy reading quite difficult too.
This forum looks very similar to an old forum I used to belong to, works in a very similar way. I had no idea about discussion time, but even now knowing about it, I cannot find it at all at the bottom of the page.
I have to say though, I've never understood when people get annoyed when things are not in the exact right place, especially something like this that is relevant to most of us.0 -

Usually, when you quote someone in your reply, that's the person you're addressing.
DT is a subforum of The Moneysavers Arms.0 -

Usually, not always, I didn't know if you was referring to the post above.
I have no idea where it is, still. Or the moneysavers arms! I thought this was it.0
