  • Morning all,

Just updating my list, I managed quite a few things last night. I didn't go for a run because the weather was too horrible.

    So today :

    Daily stuff before work
    Edit Internet shop
    Go for run
    Sweep patio

Then (if it's gone it's done or not needed)

Marvellous Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room/area

Wipe down cupboard fronts - don't forget the handles
Wipe sills and frames - paying special attention to spidery hidey-holes
    Dust any DR furniture
    Wipe light switches and sockets
    Clean windows
Choose a DIFFERENT BIG appliance to clean - DW; Oven or fridge (bet no-one picks the oven lol)
    HHI
If you have littleys at school make sure you have the dates recorded for Christmas Fairs, nativities etc. we don't want anyone caught out! In fact - make sure all your diaries are up-to-date

    Tuesday Terrors - Living room

Sofa so good - clean the chairs and sofas. Wipe Leather, Vacuum fabric, plump cushions - and don't forget to lift seat pads and vacuum under them! Polish any wooden bits, sponge of any mysterious marks!
    Empty bins
REMOVE anything that lives elsewhere and rehome it
    Water plants
Dust window sills; wipe frames, clean glass
Vacuum curtains or blinds and don't forget rails and tracks
Wipe sockets and switches with a just-damp cloth - and zappers (remotes)
    Dust any other furniture
Tickle your ceiling corners and coving - de-web
    Dust/vacuum radiators
    Wipe hearths
Clean floor as appropriate for floor covering
    HHI
Sort stray socks and throw the odd and holey
me time - Use up some of that cosmetic/lotion & potion stash. Slather your feet in body butter, pop on a couple of socks to encourage it to soak in

    Have a good day all!

Found dd2s missing watch last night which was a relief as she wasn't sure where she's lost it. Well she hadn't DGS had posts into the back of the recliner chair-little tink I'd checked his toy box here as that's where dd3s phone turned up when he nicked that out of her handbag!

Welcome la escosesa and hello lurkers, too. Glad you're ok Natty.
Hope the builders are better soon Dizzy.
    Fingers crossed for Mr Wolf

I have been to the huge shopping centre and spent my gift card. New sheets and a Pyrex jug. How rock'n'roll is that?:rotfl:
Luckily, since I went after work, it was getting quieter. That place won't see me again this side of Christmas, that's for sure.

Morning all. Very rock and roll Valli!

I'm about to start the paid stuff, but I have had a clean round in the bathrooms and the gym and put the hoover round. Dogs had a walk in the rain when it eased off a little.

Tomorrow morning I plan to catch up with yesterday's kitchen jobs.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all,

Just gathering my thoughts. Have laundry to catch up on today, plus need groceries, inset day has messed with our usual timetable. I have a list, but also something else being delivered so will fly until I know what time I need to be in.

I'm actually going to "do" the dining room today. It's rather cluttered, plus I need to find a home for a growing stash of winter festival bits. Kiddies have been writing cards, that MIL gave them, and they are not good at keeping them in one place! I have a nice basket we can use...

Did my homework last night, but need to reread and edit I think. Also notes for my journal to be done.

Might have some brekki first, though, and tidy the kitchen while I'm at it!

    "See" you later xx

  • Good Afternoon all,

Feeling decidedly rubbish today. I know it's a culmination of tiredness (was up all night with DS, as in literally neither of us slept a wink, he has a really heavy cold) and money worries (no invoice hasn't been paid BM :( Stern red letter being sent this week).

I am cross with myself too because I realised in the night I had made a mistake on DH VAT return and not claimed the VAT back for a rather large item. If I'd done that we wouldn't have any VAT to pay, and would instead be due some back. i think I can rectify it next quarter but our money worries are happening now :(

Sorry to be so gloomy. On top of this, DS is going in for a minor operation on Friday which is worrying me. He's only 2.

I know all of this is naff all compared to so many real worries people have but I just had to offload.

Dizzy my love I was thinking of you last night, I hope you're ok xx
