Appreciate your thoughts. This year I am opting out of the card/santa for this reason.

Hugs to all x0 -
Morning all. Hope any poorlies are feeling better soon.
Why do I put things off? Today I have to do a big shop, walk and bath the dogs, hoover through, get washing up to date and cook a roast dinner as a minimum.
Christmas cards are written though.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Why do I put things off?
If you're anything like me it's because you think they're going to be more complicated, or more work, than we can face right now, or, to put it succinctly, that something that should be straightforward is going to turn into 'a thing.' Most of what I'm trying to do is turning into 'a thing' at the moment.Better is good enough.0 -
Hi all
Ah speaking of not doing things. DS2 has a Spanish Assessment (part of his GCSEs) in ten days time. He has to learn 5 paragraphs of Spanish by heart. He thought the Assessment was in March so although he has written the essay he hasn't learnt it. I have told him that I will help and we will make a start this morning but he is not keen.
I am not really keen on spending half of my Sunday trying to help a grumpy teenager with his school work but if I dont make him do it he will fail this and he didnt do as well as he could on his last speaking assessment. Sigh.
Other than that trying to chill out a bit today, its going to be a mad week. I may run the hoover around and definitely going to make a chilli to go in the sc for tea before we take DS2 to footie but not much else.
Have a good Sunday everyone x0 -

Hi all,

:bdaycake: Iona
Not achieved a great number of things this weekend as all time consuming:
- cleaned church
- went to Mr T with Mr N and MIL and looked round the grounds and shared areas of a flat we have put her name down for. They have changed the rules regarding the one we wanted for her, but this one seems nice. Should find out later this week.
- lots of report writing, yawn yawn
- went to church
- tried making cherry & nut biscuits in the convection oven bit of new microwave. Yum until I put the recipe on MFP and saw the calories
No more mice for a day or 2; there are still a few days left but seems November's total will be 10 mice 1 shrew
Plan for rest of day - more reports (sorry Sabbath), do more Christmas cards, work way down "work preparation" list as it is going to be a busy week.
Water board haven't replied as they promised to say why, after a week since the plumber isolated the water and sent photos to his manager, we are still without a shower or any signs of anyone fixing it.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Dog bath will get done later this evening but the hoovering will have to wait till tomorrow.
See you all on the new thread.Spend less now, work less later.0
