Age of consent in Morocco appears to be 18 following a quick Google.

That's a fairly substantial development in just 12 hours though, and a lot of info for a text! Are the timescales here true to life OP or are you condensing?

The hol happened half term week, I saw my friend At weekend - I knew about the entertainer as she messaged me while away - then the weekend when I found everything - the I want money etc started in last week x

Suspicions are being roused that it might just be a clickbait thread.

It's def not a click bait thread - I'm just after opinions as having a teenager myself I wouldn't want to be in friends position.

If I was a click bait I would have set up a new account - with over 10k posts and a gd few yrs on here x

    This is ridiculous.

If the story is true the mother of the child is a terrible parent!

good grief, are there really people around who are that naive / stupid / ignorant?
Yes there are! This includes a relative of mine, who several years of marriage down the line and having gained the right to remain in the U.K a year or two earlier, decided that his wife wasn't what he wanted as he wanted children. My relative had been in her mid-late 40s at the point they became a couple.

A workmate also married hers and it was quite clear to most of us, that he was taking her for a ride. They are still together, but that's because she hasn't been able to get him into the U.K- yet! They are currently living in another EU country. Don't expect it to last much longer than my relatives marriage did once he's allowed to England.

I should imagine if the Mum tells Entertainer, that what they'd really like is to live in Morocco, both her and daughter and entertainer and not with his family, she'd not see him for dust. Though the far more sensible answer is to steer clear.

What is the mother playing at? If a man in his 20's had kissed and groped me on holiday when I was 14 my dad would have been looking for a shovel to bury the corpse. My parents most certainly wouldn't have continued having dinner with him or booked to go back to the same resort the following year.

Your friend should change her holiday plans for next year and ignore his requests for money. In fact ignoring him full stop would be a good idea as would monitoring the daughter's internet usage a bit more closely from now on.

Yes it's all true.... it's not that she is a terrible parent she has a kind heart treats people as she expects to be treated and I guess she wasn't expecting to be facing this

I agree the mum only found out a week or so after they got back; by then the holiday was booked ....

The incident apparently happened the last but one ngt, so really the mum was none the wiser to it all.

If it had been my daughter and it was me - had I have known at the time - he would be singing soprano x

Kissing is illegal? I'm not condoning anything that went on, but would like to understand the illegality, as there are going to be a lot of very unhappy teenagers when word of that gets around! Are you suggesting that a position of trust relationship (similar to the doctor - patient relationship) existed in this case?

No I am not suggesting anything. I typed what I meant, there were no ulterior motives.

I am sure you would like to assist the OP with their problem in a constructive manner?
The opposite of what you know...is also true
  • This is a bit of a mess, but grooming is a serious allegation and I don't feel we have sufficient facts to suggest that, unless the mother is mentally unhealthy (because she shouldn't have allowed this to get as far as it has! Unfortunately the daughter is now interested in this man, a relationship which isn't appropriate.)

No idea what I'd do to be honest. Talk to the daughter for starters ...

I've asked and the photos that went across - were ones of 2 of them out and about - no naughty or revealing photos x

Those are the photos Mum knows about - is her daughter in direct contact with the man? Would she tell her Mum if she was contacting him separately?
