Havent read the whole thread but echo what everyone has said about the Bero book. I make things like the rock cakes and freeze them, then take them straight out and put them in lunch boxes on a morning.
Twinks famous hob nob recipe can also be made as flapjack. I use half the sugar and throw some raisins or cherries in instead but the original recipe works just as well. Put it in a baking tray and bake for 20 mins. This is the only flapjack that I have ever had much success with!0 -
Somebody at work gave me a big bag of courgettes today so I'm making Courgette Tea bread at the weekend

My pleasure. I made some yesterday and added chopped dried apricots, grated stem ginger and a teaspoon of dried ginger. Think I have put on a stone since then...... The recipe seems to work whatever you add - have done many variants in the past. Grated fresh apple and cinnamon, raisins and choc chips, nuts and seeds (when I was feeling particularly healthy)......excuse me while I go to the kitchen and get another piece.....HSBC Credit Card £6400 now £5587.43 now 5229.9 now £0!!!

No eggsYou could make choc chip cookies - loads of recipes on Google
If you have oats you could make flapjack.
