Here's the thread - post number 4 is the famous twink recipe then lots of variations through the thread after that.

Add choc chips, raisins, cinnamon etc as preferred.

For anybody wanting to 'have a go' at baking for the first time, one of the best places to start is the Bero website (or Macdougall's - they're identical).

http://www.be-ro.com/f_insp.htm - click on 'List of All Recipes' on the right hand-side of the screen.

You'll find lots of good, tried and tested recipes for things that we've all grown up with for years!

    Good Luck :D.

I ordered the Be-ro book a while back - often refer to it for pastry/crumble flour, fat ratios as I never remember. ;)

or how about making a home made pizza or garlic bread.that always go fab with a dvd
  • try some home-made kebabs-

wholemeal pitta breads aer cheap enough (£1-ish for a pack of 6?) , cut each in two and toast- fill with leftovers, or some grated cheese, chopped ham salad etc. add a little mayo or relish at the bottom..

also try salmon pittas- got a pack of 2 (frozen) strips for £1.50 or so at Lidl. microwave in a dish with a knob of butter on top, for 4mins each, spoon the butter over each strip to 'baste' 1/2 way through. pull apart with a fork, then scoup into the pittas with some mayo.
    (scrum-dili-umptious!)

I have mainly just been having a banana and tost for brekkie, doing sandwiches and/or soup for lunch, and perhaps a baked potato with tuna or salad for tea - though having salmon may work out CHEAPER, based on Tesaco pricing recently..?
Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

  • I have been looking on the net for an hour or so and can't find any good recipes at all for homemade junk food.

I can't see any threads on here that have things like this, can anyone who is a bit better OSer than me help?

I'll be happy to help :D This isn't junk, it's treats :p :rotfl: :rotfl: I'll add this to the existing thread on making them at home.
