Daughter and I tried a receipe for chocolate biscuits from the be-ro webstie and used a bat and cat (halloween theme) cutters - they are lovely. Will certainly be using this receipe again.
Also tried making banana muffins a few weeks ago and it is really quite similar to make and lovely to eat.MFIT T2 Challenge - No 46

Hi everyone,
My friend Claire has just given me a recipe for 'Jumble Cake' which I made last night - its delicious and very easy - give it a try!
Claire's Jumble Cake
Preheat oven to 160 degrees C.
Grease / line a deep round 8 inch cake tin. If you don't have one (I don't), use an 8 inch square cake tin, but reduce the cooking time.
Mix together:
4oz butter / marg
2oz sugar
8oz self raising flour (you can replace 1 oz of SR flour with 1oz ground almonds if you like)
3 tbsp milk
2 eggs (I used large)
Then add:
4oz chopped chocolate (I used a mixture of white chocolate and milk chocolate - Lidls does 200g bars of good quality stuff for 99p)
2oz chopped nuts
6oz sultanas / mixed fruit
2oz glace cherries.
Mix well, pour into the tin and bake for 1hour 30 mins to 1 hour 50 mins. If you use a square tin reduce the time drastically (approx 50 mins).
Be careful with the cooking times and keep an eye on the cake. I've only made it once and it only needed 50 minutes in a square tin and all ovens are different. Don't want to burn it!
Cool on a rack.
Enjoy!:D
Ali xx
PS If you don't have nuts, cherries etc, just leave them out. I think this cake could be adapted in all knds of ways, eg using brown sugar and dried banana chips; using fresh / dried raspberries and white chocolate, etcNot Buying It 20150 -
Does anyone know any easy things to make with lots of flour? I have two big unopened bags of plain flour that need using(best before date nov 2009 and I need the space!).
I don't have any baking powder but I can get some if it will make using the flour up easier!Dogs and Cats are better than kids because they eat less, don't ask for money... and if they get pregnant, you can sell their children!0
