Okay, we'll see seat belts and no standing on the Underground soon shall we? I'd like to see that work in the rush hour.
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

I've not been on a bus in this country for a few years. Do they have seat belts now?

The local buses in the north east where i live have signs saying sit still till the bus stops, there are push bells all over the bus and often the drivers will not pull away till all the passengers are seated. We were on a bus one day and it was raining,a lady getting on the bus slipped on the wet bus platform ( due to the stupid shoes she had on in my opion ) the driver asked if she was ok and handed her a claim form that they must all carry, her face lit up!
In the case of this actual post the driver braked for a reason unknown as not enough info but not an road traffic accident or incedent as supposed by some.

Sorry, but you are wrong about that.

Maybe the law is different in the north-east, but in the rest of the UK a road traffic accident is defined by parliament (as in previous posts), and the OP's description ticks all the boxes.

It was still the same as the rest of the country when I was last there and throughout the time I lived there.

If you want to be like that the police will record the collision and by legal definition it's an accident.

    Happy?

Where in the original post does it mention anything about a collision? the driver braked hard and the woman fell over because she was standing up in an empty bus.

Read Section 170 of the Road Traffic Act, then come back if you still don't get it.

Just read it and i do not think that it applies,if taken in the context that you state if you are driving your own car with a passenger, could be wife, mother etc and brake hard because you nearly miss your turning and that passenger whilst not taken care bumps there head of the side window you will call the police or produce all the relevant docs. etc. i dont think so.

I never said I'd call the police, but if you cause injury to one of your passengers by definition it's a reportable collision. Unless you can tell us why it doesn't apply.
