Maybe if people with your attitude weren't alienating those that choose to move here, there would be far more integration and far more people choosing to regard the UK as home.

What about the many many people who come here and have no intention of calling the UK "Home", and have no intention of integrating, i know many.

I regarded the UK as home once, but certainly not now. What does that tell you?

    Your leaving?? Bye:T

It shows the sallowness of your affection and /or commitment to the the people of the UK.
Not unreasonable to ask therefore, whether you should equal entitlement to the UK benefits as other more 'committed ' UK citizens.
    Fair weather friend indeed.

Why should I show respect and commitment when what I have shown has been eroded away into thin air?

I'm not going to be backed into a corner where I can't do business on my terms, in the way I have for years, whilst at the same time being stopped from leaving the UK to the mainland due to not having rights I've held for the most part of my life.

You have to earn respect, and the UK has lost mine, not because of voting to leave, but because of the intolerance that many are showing.

Your affection for the UK appears simply being able to gain maximum economic advantage : I have no problem with that but I note there is a difference between people born here with ties of kith and kin and sharing a cultural inheritance and an economic migrant with no such regard.

I consider you faux outrage that one or two people have upset you, somehow justifies your irrational anger at 65 million people does you no credit.

The reason I've remained in the UK as long as I have is because I have family and social circles here. It's certainly not in my interest to have stayed financially, as I've paid at least double the tax I would have had to had I disappeared abroad.

A number of my clients are based abroad, too, which has required regular travel and in the case of the core business can add 3000 miles a time, plus 4 days onto a return trip over what would be necessary. Ok, there's a bit of a 'prestige' factor to it, but certainly not enough to add the £1000 just the above costs onto a contract.

I'm assuming that you haven't been assaulted, nor have you received death threats from leave voters this year then, because the people in question (but by far not all leave voters, in fact 99% are perfectly reasonable, decent people) couldn't take 5 minutes to hold a reasonable argument which could benefit everyone?

    No, thought not.....

Please remember that I have only done what I feel is in the best long term interests of the UK. I'm not saying (and have never said) that leaving wouldn't produce a better long term result, because I don't know. I have stated however that it's not fair on the next generation to play roulette with their future.

I have been physically assaulted in Germany by two German people : however, being a grown up person I don't blame all the German citizens but note that, sadly, there are violent people everywhere.

I have stated however that it's not fair on the next generation to play roulette with their future.

Indeed you are fully entitled to think and feel that : however you should also consider that other people genuinely disagree with you .
    It's called democracy and tolerance

Which also means we talk about the issues the country is facing, and find the solution that works for all.

Unlike the current May dictatorship, which is taking note of only the 27% of the country that voted to leave.

You have been listened to, I haven't. This is not democracy.

    what percentage voted to stay?

what sort of democracy do you feel is better ? Is it one that always agrees with you?

you knew how our democracy worked before you came here : why did you come somewhere that you consider to be a dictatorship ?

And what percentage were refused the right to vote on an issue that will affect them, but won't affect the 120000 leave voters that have died since the referendum?

No, it's one that listens to everyone, not just a fractionally louder minority.

Because I was 8 years old, and didn't have the choice that you consider I did.

that sounds like one that only gives the results you want

I assumed that you discovered you lived in a dictstorship some time ago : plenty of time to find a more democratic country
