Not a great deal in the flying, but a good day for to-do list.
    - 1 report finished and emailed.
    - 1 new client spoken to on phone.
    - another potential declined as I'm too busy for her deadline.
    - work load checked for this week.
    - letter and Christmas card finished for Indian sponsor-child; delivered to organiser of charity who is visiting their school this week.
    - went to Mata1an with Mr M as it was 25% off plus I still had some TCB vouchers. Got £115 worth of shoes x 2 (me), jumpers x 4 (him), t shirt (him) undies (him) and bath mats for £0. Awarded ourselves lunch at the garden centre on the way home.
    - various post sorted, checked, posted
    - cinema tickets booked for tomorrow
    - Christmas card list updated and printed
    - bird feeders filled
    - new students emailed
    - more reports started
    - Strictly results caught up with.

Guess that will do for now.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

  • I nearly wrote "morning all". That gives you an idea of where my head is at just now.

Anyway, thanks for the list Natty. I've been away at mum and dads this weekend. It is dd1's and my dads birthday today, so we went over to them to celebrate, then today it was mad present opening before school, then paid stuff for me, then had to sort out car insurance as it was the last day (bad me) then walk dog. WM is the only flying (oh and I hoovered and mopped the kitchen floor this morning, but it is already dirty again). Toys etc everywhere.

Can I just say welcome/ welcome back to newbies and returners. There seem to be loads of you!

Christmas can now officially be thought about now that DD2 has had her birthday. The thought of it however, is entirely stressing me out.

    See you all tomorrow xx

I've not been flying in the true sense. I have nearly emptied the caravan so it can be returned and the first floor in the house now looks like something off OCD Hoarders. All our boxes from storage are due back on Thursday, so I'll be snowed under until Christmas, I reckon.

Oh, and I brought two kittens home today - utterly mad (me) and completely adorable (them)...

    Good morning I guess.
Everyone has been so busy, amazing work on that cupboard Fran (was it Fran?)
Made a huge clanger of a mistake in work yesterday, realised late last night, hence why I'm here at this time and can't sleep. Have a plan to confess but it can't be fixed. Gutted.
Flying wise, weekend wasn't bad as I felt like I got on top of the basics, one day back at work and I feel back to square one. Hmm.

Morning all. No snow here yet.

I'm going to clean in the downstairs loo this morning, and have a look at the list if there's time before the paid stuff.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all

(((Hugs))) Doobop - hope you got some sleep in the end, and that people at your work today are understanding. We all make mistakes.

Talking of which... three more people have been added to the Secret Santa list overnight, so the email is right now. My apologies again :o especially to Froddington.

We had a very productive day and a pleasant evening yesterday. Apart from the two upstairs bedrooms, the whole house is clean. The scones that I made (first time in about 5 years!) rose quite well and were very edible, and although they had asked for a "light meal" my old friends wolfed everything down and said they had enjoyed it, which was a relief. I haven't seen them for many years, apart from about 10 minutes after a U3A meeting at which G had been the guest speaker, and it was the first time they'd met my DH. He was in a upbeat mood, so all was well. G repeated her talk for the Old Wives, and we had 16 people there - far more than usual and a bit crowded, but at least we generated some heat in a very cold church meeting room :snow_laug and everyone was very talkative. G and R brought their dog with them - a beautiful rough collie - who kept DH company for the evening, then refused to walk out of our house and had to be carried to the car :rotfl:

Today is going to be another busy day...
    - start college prep and tidy the study as I put my papers together
    - SW
    - lunch is already out of the freezer and won't take long to prepare :p
    - help with autumn clear-up session in the college grounds: must remember to take my secateurs and gardening gloves with me
    - lectures
    - home late
... but Tuesdays are always interesting and I come home buzzing :)

Hope everyone has a good day. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed x
