I've finished the vacuuming and mopped the hallway and living room. I've also cleaned down the light switches and skirting boards. Now my back pain has started so that'll have to do for now.

Not done any real housework apart from running the DW and done a load of washing but I have had S home plus been working all day long. Now I'm going to sew and hopefully finish off a dress I've been making over the past few days. Will do better tomorrow I promise!!

Anyone else's dogs get stressed by the fireworks? Poor Whiz has been really upset and shaking - we're trying some relaxing music for dogs which is meant to help and I've been sat with him just keeping him close. The problem is fireworks season goes on for such a long time doesn't it.

I'm not at all organised for Christmas. I did get my homework done and printed earlier so I might devote an hour to list sorting and online shopping tomorrow.
I did buy DS some goalkeeper gloves but I'll give them to mum for her pressie - she never knows what to get them...
Everything put to bed for the night, and I won't be long myself. We started swimming lessons again tonight, he hired a private pool in someone's garden! Was very unusual but a good lesson was had. DD loved it. DS is grumpy :) I think it was food-related ;)

I dug my hot water bottle out last night, was lovely. Definitely using again tonight...and tomorrow night - snow on our forecast:eek:

Further to my earlier post about the :xmassmile Secret Santa :xmassmile

I suddenly realised this morning that I had a senior moment or three when posting my original instructions: I left out two digits after my name in the email address (which I only use for Flylady business), so if anyone has tried to email me and not received a reply, please try again.

The correct address is ionafan 48 (at) gmail (dot) com - except that it has no spaces and is all lower case, with @ replacing (at) and a full stop replacing (dot)

Sorry about the confusion - all my fault!

So far I have these names on my list:
    Narc0lepsy
    atypicalblonde
    dancemum
    lynnejk
    mrs-moneypenny

Hoping to get more now :p

I emailed you last night - not had an 'undeliverable' notice so now worried I've sent my details to some stranger!!

Anyway, I'm in for the Secret Santa x

Flying wise I've washed up and done one load of washing .....

  • Wow! Well done Kazwookie. I bought a bunch of cards on Saturday and found some nice posh one in that blasted cupboard today (discounted to a few pence a few years back). I also found a bunch of Xmas wrapping paper, tags ribbon etc so that side is 100% done.

I also found my drill! Haha! It was a complete hazard. I found more of my son's clothes. Some of this is smaller than 12 months. He's 5 and in 6-7 yr stuff! I've sold one bag of clothes, a pair of wellies and 2 pairs of old shoes. Mum wants heaps of my crap so I'll load up the little vroom and take it over, hopefully while dad's out! I have a charity shop box that's nearly full too, supplies for jolly jars (which is good because they sent the begging email out), I've filled my bin up... Oops, collection was today. It'll be a long 2 weeks! And Ive stuff for the tip too. I've been avoiding that cupboard all year. I'm sure I'll be happy when it's all gone out of the hallway, hopefully by the end of the week.
It does mean I didn't get the other jobs done, but I think it was a good trade off. I rung the HA to sort out my water problem. Lovely woman saw how long its been going on for by my account log. When it is properly fixed I can paint and lay a new floor.

I was going to sort, photograph and list the clothes but I'm exhausted so it can wait!

My dog isn't bothered by fireworks luckily. Have you tried any of the Adaptil products? You can get a hormone collar that is supposed to keep them calm, or there's a plug in, or I think there's something you put on their food as well.

Flying - did pretty well on my list, my general to do list didn't fare so well. Will update them tomorrow properly. Monday is never a good day for getting stuff done though as I don't get in from work til gone 8pm but have to get up at 6 tomorrow so need an earlyish night!

Hope everyone has had a good day :)
