I'm surprised MSE haven't posted any articles about ChatChit seeing as it was one of their 'best buys'. The SIM card came quickly, everything worked, then for the second month the 'auto renew' didn't work which should have kept the initial good value deal active. Also the phone 'died' as no funds were keeping it active for use. A FB question was answered after a few days said they were working on that option. I had to manually pay for the second month (higher cost). Then the 1244 number! Given as a customer advice number but the only two 'automated options' now are balance check and top up. Two months down the line auto renew is still not available, (No intention of using it now if it were)
Got a PAC code off them via a text today to switch to SMARTY. I doubt Chatchit is a scam like said previously but there are clearly major issues with them and I can't see them surviving for whatever reason. Certainly not now when they can't be contacted, or rather do not respond via 1244, Facebook messenger, or email for the last few weeks.0 -

I have also had no service since Saturday and their website is down- allegedly for "essential maintenance". Does anyone know how to obtain a PAC code in the absence of being able to text from my own phone? I have raised a complaint with Ofcom, as my understanding is that this is a regulatory breach. However, it doesn't resolve my own issue- which is that I need to port my number to a new provider asap.0

Plusnet (EE network) has a pretty good deal, which is £6 pm for 2.5GB of data (+calls and texts). And if you are also a broadband customer this increases to 4.5GB for £6.koru0
