I am already on a decent Lebara contract, have been for about a year.

How do I take advantage of a better deal they now offer? Do I have to leave then come back or can you do Lebara to Lebara deal?
On 3 or ID that's just a simple 'upgrade' (even if to a lower monthly tariff). Why would they make it that difficult to retain your custom?

Please can someone suggest a SIM only contarct or PAYG which the the EU roaming (I mean to say I dont want t=the SIM to be suspended , become inactive due to voilating th fair usage policy)

I need to give phone to my son who is going for studies in EU,

He is currently with Three on SIM only contarct (Unlimited Tetxs, Unlimited Minutes, 10GB data for £9) but he has given them a notice to chage it to PAYG (which will be done by 01-11-2022)

If he takes is current contarct he will be charged £2 per day roaming, in  case he changes to PAYG, and then buy £10 package he will get 10GB data, Unlimited text, Unlimited Min  (2 months roaming in 12 moths rolling period)

He plans to buy a local SIM in Bulgaria , but also want to keep his UK number in the EU, (He is using this number since last 6 years but due to renewing the contarct every year, he is not eligible for EU roaming as it is applicable to pre Brexit contracts.)

He will visit UK on average after 2/3 months time.

I have searched and found almost all of the network providers have a fair usage policy and  after a certain period have mentioned that SIM will stop working

I have bought a Lebara SIM for £5 a month  , which he took wuth him when he left for Bulgaria.

Any solution / suggestion will be much appreciated

    You've listed these deals:
    Mid-level users
    iD Mobile: 500 mins, 4GB, £10/mth

    Heavy users
    iD Mobile: 2,000 mins, 6GB, £15/mth
    Giffgaff: 2,000 mins, 6GB, £18/mth

But I recently got a Three SIM with unlimited minutes/texts and 4GB data for £9 a month (on a 12-month contract). Using Quidco for £30 cashback, it's effectively £6.50 a month for the first year.
Just have settled a sim new contract with unlimited minutes and texts 30 gb for 8 ukstg month which I thought ok. Took over an hour of bickering though.

I renewed today. In addition if you are a Virgin Media customer the data is doubled up to 60GB and there is also an extra like 3 months free Disney Plus added

  • Hi Folks, I took advantage of the lebara MSE deal, but I can't send MMS, only on WiFi. Lebara have only taken 2 payments of £0.05 for the last 2 months. I have auto top up enabled for £5 but, in my balance it says zero. I have spoken to Lebara on the phone but, I find it very difficult to understand them as they speak quite quickly, I have asked them to speak slower which they do at first, but after a couple of sentences, they speed up again! it seems like i have to take out another plan, is that correct?
    Cheers

I have found there communication via Email and Live chat to be quite good.
Can't comment on your account but I also cannot send or open MMS messages. I use whatsapp for such things.
It can be a nuisance but not a deal breaker.
  • I have now sorted it theshed, it's quite easy if you want to do it, if you go into shop plans, >Top up, job done!
    Cheers
