I’m buying my new phone tomorrow and decided to try out Lebara.  Went for the £2.50 deal 2 gb, don’t use that much anyway, and 1000 mins, one month contract. It will let me test what the service is like. I’m a bit doubtful about the 1000 minutes. I normally don’t use that much but it will be worth keeping an eye on

Could you kindly share, what Sim only deals have you received from EE?
I would like to know this too as my broadband deal with EE expires soon and I was hoping to renew it with them and add a sim to the deal.  However, their SIM-only deals look a bit expensive. I have found EE amenable to negotiation on price for broadband/landline in the past though and a bit of ammo would be useful before I enter the fray and try to get a good broadband plus sim deal.
I've got 2 sim only on EE, one is £8.80 for 12GB and the other is £4.80 for 2GB (for a child's smartwatch). These were negotiated yesterday, but it took a call to new connections and 2 calls to retentions to get it that low (the 2GB is a new line, the other was at the end of its contract.
I also have another phone and applewatch on contract with EE so I had that leverage as they are up for renewal in May.
I now have an EE SIM (250MB) for £7.49 per month for 12 months.  As I have EE broadband, I get 5GB of data on top (more than enough for my needs).  I am happy with that but the only drawback is that the EE app doesn't work on my Xiaomi phone.  I am working on EE to fix that.
  • Currently, Lyca 30 day SIM only - 10GB for £4 / month.
  • Where is that Lyca deal? I can only find 2gb for £5 on their website.
    Thanks

Judging by the "heat" rating on hukd - it was oversubscribed and now expired:

  • What I am loving about EE is their free boost option

  • With the Lebara MSE blagged deal - is that only for new customers? ( 2gb unlimited ) I want to switch to them but forgot I bought a sim for my daughter from them last year.

I'm a low mobile user... I stumbled across China mobile.  They do a £1 monthly plan, which suits me fine. I don't use the China mobile link feature, but do 500mb data, 100mins calls and 100 txt for £1 a month.  I can't beat this deal anywhere.  Service has been fine.

Does seem genuine and remarkably cheap if you really only receive calls. I would say I couldn't find on their website what network they are using, and the name "trial" does sound like they are tempting you to subscribe and then pull the tariff after a couple of months.
