I would like to know this too as my broadband deal with EE expires soon and I was hoping to renew it with them and add a sim to the deal. However, their SIM-only deals look a bit expensive. I have found EE amenable to negotiation on price for broadband/landline in the past though and a bit of ammo would be useful before I enter the fray and try to get a good broadband plus sim deal.Petstalk said:Could you kindly share, what Sim only deals have you received from EE?0 -
Nice spot, I was going to use the Uswitch 3 deal as my baseline position when I am out of my current Vodafone contract (3 days till I give notice). No doubt they will try and keep me, but also no chance if they try it on with their basic no roaming package...noh said:
Same deal via Quidco with £32.50 cash back.will-he-payitoff said:3 are now offering 12Gb data for £8.00 a month thru uswitch
May have to sign up to Quidco (only on TCB right now), that gets it down to under £5.30/month. Absolutely crazy pricing...0 -
I’ve just finished reading Cris Knight’s Mobile Phone Haggle My iPhone 6s has had a tough life, there’s a few cracks on the screen and the volume seem unreliable, at times I’m having a call then all of a sudden the volume drops so I can hardly hear the other person. So I thought I’d treat myself to a new iPhone. Not especially money saving I know 🤓 but I’m worth it!
I’ve read the tips on haggling and have used them in the past. However, I now buy my own phone outright and had a SIM only contract with Tesco, that has now ended
Are there any tips or tricks I can use to get a new or refurbished phone. I’ve had a look at refurbished ones especially in the Apple Store but they do seem to sell out very quickly

Im in the same boat with Vodafone. I'm looking to change to SIM only, I'm currently paying £39.87p/m I saw uswitch have a deal for 9G/£8 p/m/12 month contract I asked vodafone for their best sim only deal they could only offer me 1G/£11p/m/24 month contract. I've been with them for 7 years so its an awful deal. Not gone through to disconnections yet to see what they can offer. The guy said I'd have to claim cash back (I don't think this is the case) and I would lose my number but saving over £300 per year it would be worth it I'm not fussed about losing my number and getting a new one. I will see what other deals I can get elsewhere and what cashback but I would like to stay with vodafone as I've not had any problems with signal and I don't want to risk getting issues if I switch contract to another provider.ratechaser said:

Why not change to Lebara (Vodafone network) for a while - rolling monthly contract, bonus £10 when you port your number?savvygirl1986 said:

If that's fine stick with them, or move back to Vodafone later via uswitch etc.0 -

I've got 2 sim only on EE, one is £8.80 for 12GB and the other is £4.80 for 2GB (for a child's smartwatch). These were negotiated yesterday, but it took a call to new connections and 2 calls to retentions to get it that low (the 2GB is a new line, the other was at the end of its contract.RetSol said:

I also have another phone and applewatch on contract with EE so I had that leverage as they are up for renewal in May.Drawn a line on increasing debt August 2020 at £33,587.
January 2021 £32,1491 -
I took the Plusnet deal with £25 prepaid card. Huge mistake, Plusnet might use EE but don't get access to the full 4G frequency bands. They don't get access to the 800 MHz signals which give best coverage inside buildings. I have suffered no signal since April throughout a lockdown trying to work from home with no support from Plusnet, neither do they take responsibility. Please re-consider if thinking of taking this deal.0
