Go to three in touch part of three's website (just fill in the blanks It says I can't post links yet??)
It states it has to be a 3 branded phone (i.e. one of the usual phones but bought from them)
If you go to the support section of the latest three app on your phone there is a section for wifi calling with a short video explaining how to get it going.Apparently - Three's "THREE IN TOUCH" App - only runs on Samsung Galaxy phones - but some Android phones have "wifi calling" built in - so may work anywayNot much help - I will have an on-line chat later with Three and get a definitive answerUp until about 3 years ago - the app used to run on virtually any Android phone - I used to use it on Android 5 !
What Three now offer is native WiFi calling (unfortunately their website is way out of date), it works on any iPhone, no matter where bought, since the iPhone 6, it works on many Android phones no matter where bought (including some newer Samsung, Huawei, Honor, Oneplus and Xiaomi phones), it also works on most Android phones directly sold by Three.====0 -

When my mobile contract was nearing its year's conclusion, on the recommendation of Money Saving Expert, I changed over to Lebara on 29 April and today, 11 May, I've cancelled and asked for a refund. Why? Well I've had virtually NO SERVICE from them: most days there was no signal so the only two apps I regularly use (the Guardian and BBC weather) were unavailable; I was unable to actually SPEAK to anybody whatsoever; and texts sent to them did not go. When I went online today to check what was going on, there appeared to be MANY telephone calls from my mobile number which were NOT made by me OR from my phone (eg, I had in reality made just 3 calls on my mobile last week - apart from trying to contact Lebara on the 4 digit number I'd been given). The following is a copy of part of my 'online chat' today:
Joycee at 12:20, May 11: As I have checked the accounts, there are many calls made from this number so the same shows on your app. Are you able to download all other apps ?
Me 12:22, May 11: I don't use any other apps AND I CERTAINLY haven't made all the calls showing on the 'record'. Something needs checking out because there's definitely a problem there
So, from my personal experience with this provider, I would most definitely not recommend them and, in fact for once, wish I hadn't followed the advice on this site.1 -

a note of caution.
I see the current SIM only deal from Plusnet and that's great, if you subscribe by May 20th 2020.
They ran a great deal last year that I subscribed to in the same time frame. I was a little surprised then, shortly after subscription to receive a notification of a price increase, annually, by the Consumer Price Index. No sooner then had I subscribed to one price than it was (almost) instantly increased.
I made a note in my schedule to check annually then and, you'll never guess, the date the price increase occurs is... May 20th.
So yes, it is, currently, the best deal - as we've come to love and trust from MSE. but watch out for the CPI increase.1 -
can anyone tell me which is the best deal right now0

I recently moved my mobile number to Smarty, which was an MSE best sim-only deal, and after going through that pain, found that Smarty mobiles can't receive security verification codes from my bank, the Nationwide, which are used to authorise payments, etc. via sms message. Anyone heard of this before? I need to switch to a provider that does support them - how can I tell which providers do?0

I've heard that Plusnet has problems sending short codes.
I've had no problems receiving bank codes with EE, but they are overpriced, so I am looking to change.0
