Saw a deal on Virgin Mobile website and rang to ask about it. They told me I had to have a new number to take out the deal. Couldn't face changing everything and totally fed up with them now.:hello:  please play nicely children !0

My understanding was that OFCOM rules dictate you are always to be allowed to take your number.

There is no complaint, babyblooz is already on Virgin, they've said the deal is for new connections only so it's nothing to do with moving their number.
It would still be possible to get the plan if they wanted, it would mean porting their number away from Virgin to another network's PAYG sim and then back to the new connection.====0 -
Thank you for the advice people. I just feel fed-up with Virgin at the minute. I'm up for a change. There are deals coming up all the time so I don't think I'm going to struggle. I'm just really old-school and think loyalty counts for something but apparently not this day and age.:hello:  please play nicely children !0

Is 3 the only network that allows free roaming in Oz and USA?
Did IDMOBILE remove this?0 -
Hi there
In Novembre last year I subscribed to an MSE Blagged deal :money::
"4GB Sim, unltd mins & texts for '£8/mth'. MSE Blagged. This 12mth Three* Sim for new customers costs £13/mth and you're sent a £60 Amazon vch automatically within 90 days. If you'd have spent that anyway, factor it in and the cost is equiv to £8/mth. "
See: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips/08-11-2017/#sim
Spoke to Three numerous times and they all avoid to pay it and not they say MSE should send the voucher!!
Is that true? How do I claim from MSE?0 -
Of course MSE is not supposed to send everyone a £60 Amazon voucher!
There was a deal available last November for £13 per month plus a £60 Amazon voucher. If you signed up to that deal, then you are entitled to the Amazon voucher as it would have been part of your contract. If you signed up to a different deal then you may not be entitled to the Amazon voucher.
If you definitely signed up to the deal with the Amazon voucher then it will be in your contract and you just insist they send it to you.
If they refuse to send it to you, then presumably you can get out of the contract if you go through the right hoops because they are not fulfilling the terms of the contract.
The first step is to check whether the Amazon voucher is in your contract.0 -
Just posting to say I'm a happy Three customer. Been with them for almost 15 years and give them a call every time my contract ends to see what they can do. Was thinking it would be unlikely they'd come down from the £12 I've been paying for 4GB and unlimited calls and texts but after I said the iD 4GB (£8) or Virgin 5GB (£9) would suit me fine and asked for my PAC code they decided they could keep me on a rolling contract with 600 mins, unlimited texts and 4GB data for £7/month.0

Hi all. I'm trying to find a sim only deal for some older friends. One doesn't like mobile phones (:rotfl:) but wants a phone in the car for emergencies. She has an unlocked phone. She does not want to spend £5 a month on something she won't use. What are her best options? Are there any sims left where you can put a £5 on for calls/texts and it will stay there for a year or so? The actual cost of the calls and texts is not important, just that they will be available when needed.
The other person does use his phone but very lightly. Again is there anything cheaper than £5 a month that would provide for very low usage? Any rollover plans for calls/texts?
TIA

Hi I have used toggle for mny years. They have changed T&C's several times in that period so you would need to read the small print. I top up for £20 every couple of years as the second phone. (And have a monthly contract on another). 3p a minute to landlines, texts 6p, BUT it has drastically raised calls to uk mobiles to 29p a minute, so may not suit? However if it really is an emergency use only situation it might be of interest particularly if your friend travels in the EU at all. I believe you have to use it or receive calls every few months to keep yur number active.0
