    Thank you for my number Sue. I have started today's with some change from the shops an some coins I found while cleaning out my car. I am not counting it as I am going as I would like a surprise at the end of the year.

    Hello Sue and everyone on the SPC thread.

    Well I have to say that 2016 was not a great year and I didn't really get into the challenge for various reasons, so didn't have anything to declare. However, as we've just had one of the tightest Christmases ever things are going to change!

    Thank you for keeping me on the list Sue, so I'm going to make a real effort this year and have a total to declare in November 2017.

    I've already put a few coins into my pot, so I'm determined to keep with it and keep saving.

    Happy new year everyone.

    I have put out 50p on the doorstep tonight and will taking it back in tomorrow. Think I will mark it somehow and put it on my pot, be nice to 'find' it again in November.

    I have done this since i was a child, it came form my mother sadly she died when I was young so I never had change to ask her why, or where the tradition came from? I would be interested if anyone knows of anyone else who does this, I have mention it to a few people, no one has heard of it they all think I am barmy :rotfl:
