Hello again all Sealed Potters!! :hello: I hope each and every one of you has thoroughly enjoyed Christmas, that you received the gifts which meant the most and - that yours were received in the same way, with love or friendship. Take care in all you do, and to those members who are poorly or down for whatever reason, try these {{{{hugs}}}} and see if you can get well soon.

Hello to you also, mrs-moneypenny, I hope you had a wonderful time too!

Thank you for what you've said Sue....you're a star and always so encouraging even when sometimes you have things going on of your own...I just want you to know that I appreciate you xXx :)

Again...Thank You Everyone for all your lovely words....I think there is a saying something like "In order to see rainbows you have to put up with the rain"....that feels like a good quote right now.... xXx :)

Hello again Helen. I hope the funeral went off as well as possible; not good times at all, but sadly necessary. The weather is as good a way as any to talk about happenings in life especially bad times, and yours was so true. Whenever there are clouds always look for the blue sky that follows on behind.
PS. Thank you so very much for your kind words, and yes, I know how appreciated I am. :kisses3:

So sorry to hear you weren't able to fully relax yourself over Christmas, 32b3, I'm just hoping you weren't called out or if so that it wasn't for long. Mind you it should make you feel so proud! :A
Hi sue sorry internet has been off for a while here. I just added my total to other thread but looks like I was too late sorry :(

I've just noticed that you've declared your Total on SPC 9 theresamum2, please don't worry about it, none of us can help internet problems. All the best with SPC 10. :j

Well done with your latest potted cash, 12 month challenge! Very wise in staying home in those last mad days of shopping. A great move in the whispering technique with money found in the house - love it!!! :rotfl:

Many thanks for your Christmas wishes, little_sweetie, and don't you worry as I'll hold you to your promise of dropping by more regularly. Do try hard as it's lovely to see our friends. :D I hope you & G had a wonderful Christmas, T & I did also.

Don't worry Antomac as structured saving and Christmas really don't go together well. :( Still, you did with your finds anyway. :D Yes, I'd certainly class 2 books of stamps as roadkill by keeping the stamps by for future use and potting the equivalent.

WOW you've been incredibly lucky with your near misses with the unwatered coffee pot and candle mishaps! Great advice for us all to BE SAFE AT HOME!! Accidents can very soon happen! Thanks so much for using those memories as warnings to us all, though maybe not the best time to go into overdrive with your holiday plans! :rotfl: I can sort of understand your hysteria but it did make me giggle. Take care Ant, please!

Good and wise advice from you also 32b3, forewarned is definitely forearmed! Amazing savings so close to Christmas too!!

Thank you for those really kind words, Lynne, much appreciated. Great work with your £10er. How have you faired with the weather up there? Ruddy windy and cold for sure.

    Well done Miss D M, you're doing well. ;)

You keep a firm hold on that saving in 2017 excitement Louby and it'll carry you through to a thrilling Total! :j

An excellent sum safely potted indigowarrior!!!

Good for you Chutney and thanks for the greetings. :D

Try to use a separate pot/purse to keep cash in until you're positive you don't need it, Thora. Good to hear you're away saving again.

A good move with your Mum re the cash for your Christmas Tree, mossy, they're so expensive though!

Wonderful news about your splendid gift, Curly, what more could you wish for!!

Hello rockabillygirl!! Lovely to see you and I hope your Christmas was as joyful and peaceful as you hoped everyone else's was! Mine was a lovely one filled with happiness, thank you. Have a super New Year and get that pot just as full as you're able to!! :D

Hello Onmyway2, I shall whisper it for you as you're a wee bit delicate.... There were 88 members who declared, not a lot out of all those names and numbers on the membership list is it!!! :( Still, those who declared making running the thread such a delight!!!!! :j

Enjoy a lovely Tuesday, SPCers. Keep safe, healthy and showering your pots with cash! :D

    Sue xx

  • So I haven't started potting yet. I want to make myself a Pig but I do have a jar ready to use while I'm waiting. Now that Christmas is over, I'm going to empty what's left in my purse, and start checking the sofa for any change (known to fall out of hubby's pockets) etc. I still have some coins in a jar from last year as well and will be doing the 365 day challenge etc. Can't wait to total up. Will let you know the total at the end of the day :)

Hello Sue Still here encouraging people to save, so nice to see :)
Wish I could hang around the boards more, maybe I'll try for the upcoming year.

Please put me down for the SPC.
I've bought my tin from the pound shop and am going to fill it with all the 20p that I get back from shopping. I'm also using tip #8 (Holding Pots) which is really good, but I just put the 20p into a mug placed away the cupboard.

I've actually made a note in my diary about the finishing date for the challenge next year so I can reveal my savings along with everyone else, looking forward to that.

I do plan on trying to fill the tin, but I can't give a target because I've no idea how many 20p it would take to fill.

That's all for now, I promise to pop in now and again, Hello to all the regular savers of the best thread ever.

All the best for the New year

I have a sealed tin already on the go that we started the first week of this month so there isn't a great deal in it I don't think.

Hi! Could you add me to the list please? My target is £1500. Going to work hard this year to reduce spending money and pot it instead. :)
