    Hello everyone

I bought myself a pot! I counted out the coins (in my temporary pot) and I have £4.65 in there - not great but it's ok.

I need to be putting £16 a month in there on average to get £200. After Christmas things will improve!

£1+ in mixed small coins was potted, I do have £10 in change in my purse but my bank account has taken a hit this month so will be holding onto that!

Potted the £10 we would have spent on cafe breakfast this morning.
Keep up the good potting everyone. This is probably one of the most difficult times to stay motivated with Christmas being so near and the opening date being so far away

  • Good morning everyone.
It's a crisp? Sunday morning here and even the coins are a little chilled. So I've counted them quickly. £5.79 potted this morning, thanks to a run on £2 coins in my change and 8p roadkill that I found scattered at the bottom of the stairs going up to the tube station.
Day 2 of my long weekend and NSDs planned for the rest of next week so maybe a while before I can post a potting (is that the right term?), but will be popping in to keep up with all the progress in the meantime.
    Take care. Miss D M

  • p.s. Was about to scrummage for a baby screwdriver to open the battery compartment to take out the battery on my pots counting thingy, when I heard my brother's voice saying something "don't come running to me when you want that to work again and can't remember what type of battery it uses. Stop being a wuss, pull up your big girl pants and just ignore the total!" So have left everything in place and am practising ignoring it. But please join with me in hoping the battery runs out soon!

Is it just a digital count of the coins (or does it say the amount aloud?).If it is a digital display, are you able to cover it up with, say,a piece of Blue Tac,or masking tape.
I wouldn't want to see the running total, either.

Started my Christmas shopping today.(well, thought I had better, with 4 kids to buy for).

    Tonight I have potted:

#£41 (of the £45 that I mentioned the other day that I would post).I held back £4,because I have gone to the dark side.........:o.Last night I found a link to the "Save a pound a day for Christmas 2017" thread.Deciding that three pots for this challenge isn't enough :o ,I joined up,with the aim of having that as a pot that my family know about, and we can use for Christmas next year.It does feel a little bit disloyal to SPC,sorry.

    #£2 coin from change today

#68p found lying around the house while tidying up today
