"Sealed Pot Challenge ~ 10"

DH returned from the pub last night and had £1.85 clasped in his hands for the pot! still more room! find those pennies!
I think 'Mr jakes-mum' is on to a good thing. Seems to me that he's actively encouraged to visit the pub so that he can bring back some change for the pot

Hey Everyone....It sounds like everyone is doing AMAZING!! Keep it going folks...We're all doing GREAT!!
Well Sue, my Cold turned into a nasty Chest Infection....I was basically sat in my chair huddled in a blanket for 3 days....Not great!! Managed to pop out briefly on the Tuesday but only because I was seeing the Doctor....and then managed to pop to the Bank and the Supermarket but they were so concerned about me at the Bank that they asked if I wanted a seat while I waited...and I'm not even 40 Yet!! LOL...
But thankfully as of this Afternoon I'm feeling much better...and back on the Night Shift again...
AND GUESS WHAT??? I made it to the £100-Mark in my Sealed Pot yesterday morning!!!!! :T :T:j:j :T :T And that doesn't include the money in my Sliver Pot as I don't count that until I break open the Pot...so there could be a few more pounds in that one....
Not sure what I'll spend it on as Christmas is covered with other Money....but maybe it will be a way to treat ME ... I might also re-save some of it...We'll see....But I see it as "free money" that I've Saved up and so I can spend it how I like
Anyway....*Hugs* to anyone that needs them....Chat to you all soon.....Oh and I'm actually away in Disneyland Paris the day we open the Pots so I'll either open just before I go on the Tuesday Morning or when I get back...Hope that's okay Sue....
Keep on going everyone....and I will do the same.... xXx0 -
Still potting away
this will for the basis of my xmas shopping money so i'm super excited to open it

Hi SPCers, I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend despite the weather which, if I’m right, was supposed to have been nice yesterday, down here at least anyway, but it wasn’t!!
If it wasn’t raining then it was black and threatening rain all the time! Sorry folks, I’d forgotten.... This is England!! Not to worry - I hope you all have a really good week.
To all those who are unwell or feeling low for whatever reason, here are some sincere Get Well ((((HUGS)))) to help you get better quickly! :grinheart
I see your point SeekingFlight or I think I do - rather than declaring this years cash, you’re putting what you’ve already saved into your pots for next year, it that correct?! If you’d confirm I’d be grateful, thanks a lot. PS. Just seen your latest post which confirms the above query, I LOVE TO HEAR FROM SUPER EXCITED SPC FAMILY MEMBERS!!!!!! :j:j:j
Very well done again Chutney, all those £2s (and more I know!) will make a huge difference to you for Christmas!Managed to read back a few pages - congratulations on the arrival of Oliver Sue-UU.
I will confess to emptying my pot this morning whilst Jack was at nursery - he is convinced money should go in and never ever come out.
I have emptied early due to mobility and pain issues so doubt I will get the pot emptied and to the bank if I leave it much longer.
Final Total for SPC 10 - £376 £76 over target
That’s brilliant potting Hicksy, many congratulations!!!!! :T:j:T Very well done, especially for getting £76 over your Target, Jack will be so proud of you, plus you’re teaching him well!!! :A
Very well done with your regular saving DancingUnicorn, and for the amount of time you’ve been with this, then I quite agree, that if you have £50 in your pot, it will be marvellous and quite an achievement! Fingers crossed! :j
As always Lynne, really great news on another £10 potted!!!
Ah that’s better Antomac, at least you’re happy with the height your savings have climbed to!Still time to keep it rising!! BTW with regards to jakes-mum’s DH, she gives the Landlord strict instructions to "ONLY GIVE IM ARF A PINT... Not even that unless you’re giving him £2 coins in change!!!!!"

That’s a fantastic amount of fodder you’ve fed your pot over the last year, Bubbs, very many congratulations!!!!!! :T:j:T
Don’t you worry Vicky, nobody here is looking to make a fortune, just to be really happy with whatever they have on Declaration Day!!! :happyhear Keep the saving up for as long as possible, and remember, you could always wave it under your DH’s nose telling him you just know that the scent of loads of cash isn’t yet like it usually is!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:Ahhh Sue, I cannot guarantee that I can leave enough £2 coins for everyone here . . . but i'll try and leave a fewTalking of £2 coins! another one for my tin :rotfl: care of dear uncle as I picked him up some milk
At least that’ll be something then jakes-mum, after all we’d hate you to feel mean!Fat chance of that ever happening!!
Nice work with your DH! :j
It’s so good to see you again, Dragon Lily! Also lovely to see how excited you’re getting about DD, not much longer to go! :dance:DON’T FORGET TO POP INTO YOUR BANKS FOR MONEY BAGS!!!! Also remember to fill each with the correct denominations!
Good for you in keeping us all aware of just how little time there is to go, mummytummy! So it's 10 FULL DAYS TO GO INCLUDING TODAY!!
Hello there Seaotter! Well done with the banking and I look forward to seeing you back here on the 2nd!!!!!
Sorry to hear about the chest infection, luckily I just escaped that but it’s laid very heavily on my chest with the most horrible of coughs! I hope yours is clearing now. Take care Helen and have fun!!!!
Please take note folks! I’m having major problems with my teeth at present folks with terrible toothache over the weekend! Have seen the Dentist this morning and after expecting to need at least two teeth out, he’s convinced that as there’s so much pain both sides that it’s where I grind my teeth during the night!! I know I used to as although it didn’t or couldn’t wake me, it always woke my DH! I had a special guard made, and to my mind it stopped the grinding. However, he thinks it’s all down to the epilepsy which I guess would make sense. So now I have to wait for it to be made, meanwhile all my food needs to be liquidised so I can just swallow it!!! Ah well, there’s a lot worse things in life for sure. So I will be missing at least a couple of times during the Declaration period but please bear with me (I know you will) as I’ll catch up a bit later for certain!
it’s Another £15 has settled nicely into my pot. Lovely to think of them all becoming friends! Yes, I’m a penny short of a full pot!
Enjoy Monday folks. :j Don't forget your to keep your pots nourished!!!
Sue xx

Well done Bubbs - £500 is a great amount, and is close to what I hope to reach.
Any amount saved by any SPC er is a success. There are lots of different calls on our money, but this challenge hopefully gives us a nice annual bonus that wouldn't otherwise have got round to.
Poor you Sue. You seem to have more than your fair share of trials and tribulations. Tooth pain can be VERY painful for sure. Your attitude of 'there's always someone worse off' is commendable. Wishing you more comfortable times as soon as possible.27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 50
