I haven't posted on here in ages. Broke my ankle in November, was off work till Jan (ankle still plays up 9 months after). Was meant to be getting married this Dec but partner walked out in May after everything was booked and loads of money paid out so it's been a bit of a pants year. On the plus side I have been potting well as it was all going to go towards the wedding so now I will just have to treat myself and my little one to a holiday with the money instead.

An update about my ex who has alzheimers.

It was his birthday today and I am pleased to say that he looked so well and was in the garden when I arrived. Only a few weeks ago he was staying in bed most of the day.

He/we (via POA) are now paying for carers to visit him three times a day but he is accepting this without a problem.

No potting, but I've been on holiday again so no savings made.

This is good news, and give me hope for my nan who is in the depths at the moment, which has encouraged me to sign up to swim over the month of October, I dont normally post but if any MSE'rs want to donate a few pennies I would appreciate it along with the alzheimers trust

    Good Morning Potterssssssssssssss

Aww Tizzi, so sorry about your relationship, a lovely holiday with your little one will be amazing though! Do let us know where your going when you book (we all love a bit of holiday talk round here :D )

Frogletina, also lovely to hear that your ex is doing better and accepting support :) and a very happy birthday to him _party_

Well DH rattled as he walked past me! tried to stop it but it was too late, id heard it and alleviated him of a lovely £4.20 for my tin. After all this time, you'd think he'd know better! :naughty:

Well, i'm off out with the mother and youngest to get some last minute bits for the holiday (EEK!!! It's so close!!! but where the frig did the summer holidays go  we're over halfway!!)

Hiya Potters! :D So sorry to be so late in returning, sadly we've had the death of a much-lived relative to deal with, he may have been 90 but he was as bright as a button and a true treasure!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Time for a lovely week now, at least it's good weather - so far!

To all those members feeling poorly or who are low in spirits in any way, I do hope you all get well very very soon. Very best wishes and {{{{hugs}}}} to you all. :grinheart

Ah thanks a lot for updating your siggy Emily, can't have you forgetting on declaration day now can we - as if that would ever happen! :rotfl: It sounds as though you thoroughly enjoyed your holiday - and even bought back some change as well as notes?! :DExcellent!!! We had ours with the family the week before last we had a wonderful time, the weather wasn't up to much but we all made the best of it!

I'm with you 32b3, it sounds as though the recipients are going to be chuffed to bits... very warm too! :D An excellent choice of gift especially given the time of year!
    Brilliant potting too!! :j

    I quite
agree with those waiting to go on holiday, Lynne, it paints a lovely picture of them all getting so very excited... especially jakes-mum, :rotfl: then of course there are her young'ns!!!
Very well done once again with the amount potted!!

Sounds good whatever the amount siju!! :D Savings is all that matters...

...just as you know Chutney!! ;)

Ah that's alright then Bubbs, wrong of me to assume obviously! No idea about Cazzie. :(

I love Christmas boxes too Westie, both with the giving and receiving of them!!!

So very sorry to hear about your rough times Tizzi, a broken ankle is bad enough, but then for your partner to walk out on you amid all the planning and.... all the finances a forthcoming Wedding brings must have been awful for you!!! However, better far better for it to be over and done with now than for you to have got married and then for it all to have fallen foul! As you rightly say, at least you and your little one can, and deserve to, have a lovely holiday together!! Bless you Tizzy, and keep right on saving!! :j

What wonderful news about your ex Frogletina!!!! He sounds a changed man from just a little while ago which presumably has to be due to some fact Carers!!! :grinheartLong may it all continue and enable him to live as good a life as possible!

I guess you can't blame a man for trying jakes-mum, but yours should definitely know you better than that by now! :rotfl:

Please don't mention the word summer, it's a joke this year for certain! B weather!!! :(

    Brilliant potting moneymanager!!!!

I wish you all a good week, folks. :j Make those pots rattle... a LOT!!! :D

    Sue xx
