I have started researching the prices of glowsticks and may use the dusty old £1 coins I have lurking around to purchase a pom pom or two! We are right behind you - well, not literally, we'll be sitting somewhere waving stuff - but you have our total support! xxx

I thought you were volunteering us to run with 32b3 then  Im all up for SPC bingo day waving glowsticks but I draw the line at any form of physical activity where I have to run (unless there is roadkill involved in which case i'm world champion 100 yard dash material! :rotfl: )

Am off to the hospital today with youngest as she is finally having her toenail done. She did say last night she didnt want it done but she will not stop ripping her nail off and 5 months of pain is not worth skipping out on 2 minutes of injection pain :( I am told she went off to school happy as larry this morning, I on the other hand was like an insomniac drip feeding espresso last night, tossing and turning, worrying about it and how she'll be, how will we deal with her crying, planning diversion tactics of promises of very overpriced icecream from the thorntons shop . . . i'll pop bak later and tell you all how bad it went :o

I realised when removing yesterdays £5 notes that I also have acquired a £2 coin and the 2 shiny new £1 coins from the disasterous bingo are also still in my purse  My potting mojo seems to have upped and left me!

Hopefully be some more pottage for the pot later after overpriced icecream and bread buying, so will see you in a bit

Oh jakes-mum, I do apologise for causing such alarm! I'm of exactly the same opinion that physical activity should only be undertaken if there is money at the end of it (and even then it's an effort!) Having said that, I have done a wee jig today as I got my 1% NHS pay rise and it appears that, after additional taxes and other deductions, I am going to be a whole *drum roll*... £8 better off per month! I'm concerned that this newfound wealth is going to go to my head, so I'm relying on you all to keep my feet on the ground!

Talking of feet, best wishes to your little one (or perhaps to you as you seem to be needing it more!) I've had issues in the toenail department but can confirm that, whilst an injection to the toe made me say things which cannot be repeated on a public forum, it was worth it to rid me of the horrendous pain I had been living with! Who would think that such a small body part could cause you so much grief!? I hope all goes well, overpriced ice cream is enjoyed, and then normal service resumes and you can regain your previous potting focus!

Just exchanged five dusty old £1 coins for some lovely see-through plastic for my pot from Mumma (I've got her so well-trained, she comes across pot money and immediately contacts me to arrange the exchange! She knows how to maintain a happy home environment!)

Wishing you all a happy Friday heading into another Bank Holiday weekend, and hoping you will all get to enjoy some time with your nearest and dearest :) xxx

Thank you ladies, we have returned and it was definitely an experience that I never want to suffer through again. There was lots of tears and it cost her gran a veeeery expensive ice cream and me some pokemon pyjamas and some star wars socks! She is now happily sat on the sofa playing ipad and her friend has come to play as well so you wouldn't think she'd been through anything! She's now just upset that she's supposed to be going on a school trip on wednesday and shes not allowed to get her toe wet so may not be able to go (which is much more horrific than any kind of toe surgery it seems) we can't get the dressing into anything other than those sandals you can velcro shut over the toes so will have to wait for the redress on tuesday to see if she can wear shoes to go :(

No idea on potting news as was so worked up about Madam that I took absolutely no notice of what came out of or went into my purse

Well, I don't think anyone can blame you for that, jakes-mum! Well done on getting through it (I'm sure these things are always way worse for the parents than they are for the littlies!) I'm glad it's all over and I hope you can enjoy a relaxing evening now. I remember after my surgery not being allowed to join in my dance class the following day and I'm pretty sure that actually ended up being more traumatic than the event itself! I too had some of those attractive velcro sandals (my Mumma's, I believe, such was the extent of the dressing - no wonder the NHS has been running out of money!) But I hope your little one will be able to go on her trip, not least because I fear it could cost you even more precious pot pennies to console her otherwise! xxx

Lovely to hear from you, Sue-UU! As an Occupational Therapist, I would definitely recommend giving hand therapy a try, those specialists can work wonders and have you doing things you never thought you'd do again! It's encouraging to hear you are recovering though and lovely to see you on here!

Thanks Cazzie, I saw one 6 years ago after I had the first fall and then went onto a Physiotherapist who was marvellous and tried for months to get it back but we just couldn't! I hope the finger is ok but they've been hesitant over the x-ray. Time will tell.
Well done with the bingo! £6 odd as a refund??!!!! Flipping heck that's not much in the way of making things right with folk surely!!

Good pottings 32b3!!! I see what you mean about the running so give it a try next Tuesday then!! You can do it even more so if you're starting before!

You could be right about it being a record-breaking year, I sincerely hope so! Sadly there are some folk missing that surprises me and Modesty is one and she's been with us for years :( but I know she and her family have health problems so I hope all's well!

C2C stands for corner to corner blanket, so you crochet it on the diagonal :D I learnt to crochet from Bella Coco! following her youtube channel, didn't know she had a facebook page, will have to go find it!

Grrr My mum! that poor £2 coin, alone and forlorn in the cold hard till instead of in my nice warm tin! :rotfl:

Oooo I would LOVE a SPC bingo night! that would be AWESOME!! :D Yes I still mourn that poor £2 coin as well

Thanks for the C2C meaning, jakes-mum, certainly makes sense. The Bella Coco page on FB is brilliant, always folk to help out if needed too. Sarah-Jayne even does a weekly VT on FB as well as those on YTube. Wow you don't let the grass grow under your feet with future ideas that's for sure, good luck to you and I hope you achieve your goals, definitely!!!

Don't fret over that £2 coin being in the cold - it might even have ended up in my pot!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl: BTW, even though the Teller told you that the old £5ers are ok until the 5th May, shops can and do refuse to accept them!! A friend was telling us of the awful job he had on trying to pay with them on Wednesday, they simply refused to take them. His DD checked the internet and true enough - they are allowed to do so.....even though shops bank them that same night!!!! Ah well.

Imagine a weekly SPC bingo club! Wouldn't that be absolutely fantastic! :j Shame it couldn't be arranged unless you have any weird ideas!!! I do hope your DL got on alright with her toenail. Yes, it will have been painful but there's sadly no way round that. It's made a huge difference since I had mine sorted out.

My kind thoughts are always with you Vicki, I really do mean that and as you say from all on here at SPC2, it's inevitable! Keep gaining strength and you'll get there...just you wait and see!! YAY! :j Your DH is back on the slippery slope of leaving money around for you - I hope he keeps it up it'll do you no end of good!!!! Take care Vicky! :D

Hello Dragon Lily and good savings I note!! :dance:The wars I've been in since those accidents are quite minor to some I've had....grabbing the old twin tub when a seizure struck while I had towels boiling is about the worst!!!! I couldn't use my fingers for some weeks and with 2 young kiddies to care for! Thank Heavens my DH is such an angel, he never knew what he was coming home to next!! Same old thing is true though - there's always folk a lot worse off!!!

Brilliant MLE007!!! There y'are see - everything comes to those who wait!!! :D

    Yoo hoo potters

Struggling a bit at present - awful couple of months which has messed me up rather, but hoping the future is orange.

I have been stashing away egg sales money and have just potted my first new £1 coin, which I hadn't noticed as I think they aren't too different from the old ones...it was a bit shiny, which my magpie eyes spotted :)

Off to catch up on some if the news....apologies for my absence and hugs to everyone xxx

Yoo hoo Dizzy Imp! :hello:So sorry to hear you've had a rough couple of months, I hope things are getting better for you or will do. I've been waiting for you to find out if your chickens had been allowed out after the bird flu incident and it sounds as though they have. Good to hear you're still potting the money the chicken are making you!!! :T Try not to leave it so long next time.

Wooohaaay Lost a fantastic amount saved yet again!!!! :T Bet you can't wait for the end of each month to arrive!!!! :D Keep up the terrific work!!

Another £15 in the pot after shopping...£10 of which was £2 coins!!!!!! :rotfl: (For goodness sake don't let on to jakes-mum as she'll throw a massive wobbly!!! :rotfl:)

Have a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend, folks. Keep feeding those pots!!! :D

    Evening folks

I have potted my weekly £10 but that's all this week, as not been anywhere to get any change.

It was the virus that caused the heart attack Sue. Sorry didn't reply earlier but nothing to declare as potted and know we are meant to at least mention potting :D

I am having to stay on low dose medication until I see the specialist again - should be about five weeks now. Hope he decides to take me off them as I really dislike having to take meds.

Hope you all have a great weekend and manage plenty of potting
