Can I complain that mine ran like clockwork so I didn't qualify for compo..

I want some! I shall skweem and skweem:D
  • I have received a secure message offering £50 in compensation but my complaint was followed by me transferring the majority of my money to other banks, so this may have been noticed and might have affected the offer. Then again, maybe not.

The upholding of my complaint would have been more convincing if they had actually got all the facts correct in their letter of "apology".

Damn. Mine was a couple of days late. I should have complained!

Interest showed on account five days late.

I asked for the account to be closed and interest create to my flex plus account, but have now transferred to the flex plus account in any case.

I raised a complaint and have had it acknowledged but no compo as yet.

Also waiting for my regular savings to be closed and the remnant interest since October credited to the flex plus.

Has anyone's Flex Saver Issue 8 actually been closed yet?

I requested this Friday 2nd December and was told it would take 3 working days. Still no sign of the account closing yet.

I requested mine to be closed via Internet Banking on 3/12. The balance and interest were transferred on 8/12 and the account disappeared from Internet Banking on 9/12.

Although Nationwide haven't exactly covered themselves with glory with the late interest and sub-optimal communication, a maximum 5 day delay is trivial and, to my mind, not worth getting excited about. We had access to our deposit money at all times and the lost interest on the interest was single figures of pennies.

    Compensation? For whar exactly?

The FRS is one of the best if not the best regular saver available and I can't imagine too many late interest recipients will be sufficiently traumatized to not open another one.

Mine was on Friday 9th. Requested it on 2nd but after a couple of messages they started the process on Monday 5th.

Messaged them to close the account on 06/12/2016. Monies including interest transfered into the current account on 10/12/2016. Account closed 10/12/2016.

My account is a few days younger.

Interest itemised as added on 10th, though says it's a credit on 11th.

Anniversary of opening is 12th. Presumably it turns into a different account type later today.
