Morning everyone :) So yesterday I didn't complete much from my list! I ended up waddling around town looking for DVD's for my nieces birthday on Saturday! I ended up finding what she wanted after about an hour! Today I'm having a pretty lazy day, just popping to Mr T to get a book for OH and print off the photos that were on my list yesterday! Then I'm going to my Mum's house for lunch! So todays list:

    - Check bank accounts
    - Tidy and hoover bedroom
    - B/D from home and L at Mum's
    - Swagbucks/Nectar Canvass/My Survey
    - Go to Mr T's

Have a good Thursday everyone, it's nearly the weekend! :) x

I think where I'm so excited it just seems to be going so slowly! I just want to see what he looks like! I've been off work since 35 weeks, I had 3 weeks annual leave to use up so officially my mat leave doesn't start until next week but I'm trying to find something to do each day, even if just small, I think from next week I will be taking it a bit easier! I'm always such a "get up and go" person I find it really hard to sit and do nothing! :)

I know, I am just the same. I actually went to one of Martins money saving live shows when I was around 37 weeks, it was hilarious, they offered me a seat right next to him and the lady presenter as I was so enormous, think they thought I'd pop right there on stage:rotfl: It took me ages to get there as well, lol.

But, in the spirit of this site too, I'd try and avoid the little treats that are so tempting when you are off all day, I was so bored by the end, popping into the fancy babywear shops was so easily done. You'll want every penny of that mat leave money by the end.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    My list for today:

    1. Lovely healthy 2 hours spent in the park with DD. The weather is just so lovely. We were out by 9am, stayed till 11, loads of other people out with dogs for DD to squeal at. Plus bonus ball is she is still asleep almost 2 hours after dropping off in her buggy, and she NEVER does that!
    2. My 2nd NSD of the month bagged.
    3. Coffee at home/lunch/home made scone/dinner is batch cooked lasagne
    4. Spent the longest I have at an actual computer in easily a month, so nice to actually be able to write instead of tapping away at my tablet :) banking checked, admin done.
    5. Found 1p on way back from park
    6. DH is doing the afternoon school run as I have the docs, so no need to use my precious travel card money today
    7. No heating on, but DH dropping heavy hints now. In fairness it is cold now, but every day I hold out helps that bill (I know it will jump from around £56 a month to £120, and thats for only 3 hours a day) rip off
    8. Sent 3 letters/cards today using 2nd class stamps, the earliest wasnt due till the 11th so thats a small saving
    9. Entertainment at home today for the rest of the afternoon. Will bring down more of the old toys that came from the loft, so new to DD
    10. Read my library book

  • Afternoon all!

    Foxgloves I love your sig!
Just popping in! Went to the doctors this morning and had to pay for my prescription so not a NSD. Blummin' extortionate if you ask me...
My sister asked if I wanted to go to one of those firework displays Saturday night, but it's about £12 each and I am trying to save money (honest!). OH mentioned all the wood out in the back garden from the house refurb so I invited my sister and family over for a cheapo bonfire night (No fireworks as her little'un is scared of them, though we will be having sparklers). It helps us get rid of some of the wood sitting in the back garden and it's a nice cheap family night in. I've made a stew (mostly from stores, had to go pick up some casserole steak but that was 3.50 from Mr Azzie so not a lot) and I also picked up a few spuds up off the market for £1 so too shabby.
Couple of friends coming round, glass of wine... bliss.
    * Popped to Azzies to pick up a few bits for tonight (casserole steak, squash for kiddies, Max's mince)
    * Had a couple of cheapy bits from the market. 5 massive spuds for £1! Plus some green beans and some cheap biscuity snacks.
    * Have tidied up, washed up and the heating is still on low. It is getting really cold though so may have to start upping the heating a little bit. Had the dryer on today - justifying to myself that it's barely been on all week and it helps heat up the kitchen. Currently I only have heating in the one bedroom, but as the living room is uninhabitable at the moment it's been quite a good excuse to spend more time in bed!
    * New halogen oven arrived today. Have spent some time going through the instructions and looking at the recipes included in the book. If I have time I will have to see how baking would turn out using a halogen.
*Maxxy is on day 4 of his raw diet and it has so far cost me just shy of £6 so I'm pretty impressed at the moment. I think I'm going to have a look into premade raw food though as it's becoming a bit of a struggle to fit in the time to weigh up all of his food and work out the percentages for a healthy diet.
Can't think of much else for today, tomorrow should hopefully be a NSD as I'll be using my bus pass to visit a friend but should have coffee at their house, then babysitting then home so can't see how I could buy anything on that journey.

Take care all, and wrap up warm!

Oh wow! That would of been a bit of money saving publicity! Haha

Yes, I think it's the "little things" which are adding up! I'm pleased to say that I haven't bought anymore clothes, despite living a 10 minute walk away from the Mothercare superstore! Its more just little "treats" for me and little things I keep "thinking" that I need or that could be useful! I have my ISA which I'm putting a huge amount into each month and I have a great maternity package from work as I've been there for so long but I know what you mean, all these little things, £1 here and there are starting to tot up!

Best get on with as many surveys as I can before he arrives!
