They've missed the 14 day deadline starting the day after the alleged event for delivering the NTK, so there is no keeper liability, which is why there is a space at the bottom of the letter. They know they are too late but are carrying on in the hope that you reveal who was driving, or cave in and pay. There is no way they can claim it arrived on time as it is dated the 22nd, which was a Saturday, so cannot have arrived before Monday the 24th, which is over 14 days from the 10th, which was day 1.

They are stuffed and they know it but it won't stop them. You will however beat them at PoPLA due to no keeper liability as long as you don't give away the driver's details.
Hopefully you now understand why I was banging on about it.

Ralph-y is one of the good guys and can be trusted. Be wary of getting PMs from people with a low post count though. Not all are bad, but parking companies read these for a, and it is not unknown for parking companies to "interfere."

  • Just filling in the appeal on their website. I presume I need to add email for them to communicate with me but do I have to put a phone number in? Thanks

No, never give a 'phone number.

Name and address of keeper, PCN/NTK number, VRN, email address.

Filling in the appeal? It's a copy and paste. Don't put anything other than the blue template from the NEWBIES unless you want to tell them their NTK is too late to transfer liability to the keeper, not that I think it will make any difference.

Be absolutely sure not to mention who was driving. Triple check before you send it, especially if there are any tick boxes as they default to Driver.

  • Yes I will be copying and pasting the letter lol. Also is the online appeal the best way? Seen on another thread about no proof that the appeal has been submitted and best to write a letter sent recorded post?
  • I have now submitted online and taken a screenshot. Many thanks for the advice so far, will keep the thread updated

*as a car would turn into the car park section in question there is a sign saying patron only car park. It is not at head height, it is quite high up. When my husband returned today there is a smaller pop up sign saying members only but this is a pop up sign and not a permanent sign
    Hi Louise
Was looking at finding more info and came across this thread. I'm guessing I met your husband on Saturday as I too was looking at the signage for the same reason.
    Best of luck.
