I haven't maman, will let you know how it goes. Going to inflict it on DH too so I'll have two reviews for you ;)

Wizkid a for an against list might help you get back on track. Our consultant gave a couple out on Saturday to members who just couldn't find their SW mojo.

Keep up the good work Lois!

Greentiger I admire your determination in going to the gym, I just want to hibernate at the moment.

Off to a lovely Christmas fair tomorrow with lots of local food so I'll have to have a will of steel to resist!

Hope you don't think I am thick but,,,, what is an Against list ???:)

Hi all, well done losers and hugs to those in need :A

Feel for you tweets, remember what it was like when my poor mumsy was in hospital. Think my dog must be a bit deaf (or just not bothered) as he never batted an eyelid over the fireworks.

Wi with about 1.5lb loss. Somehow forgot my anxiety meds yesterday (took everything else) so feeling a bit weird today! Probably why I can't think straight and work out my complete loss :o hate that my scales show points of pounds :(

Interesting week coming up, MRI tomorrow then a squash and a squeeze on Thursday :rotfl:. My young charge starts transitioning back this week and typically its Thursday! Upside only 1 day at unit :T.
Downside seems nothing is planned for it, well not said to me if it is. I'm meeting with his teacher Monday so at least we will have some sort of plan for class. She's non the wiser either!

Wonder if I can stretch the squash and squeeze out so I have most of the morning off :D
Have a good weekend all (persisting down here :()
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Whose idea were those daft pink shirts??:rotfl:
As I'm neither English or Scottish I fell asleep during match, it was that good. ;)

Sorry to hear about your mum tweets , what a dreadful week for you (and Poppy).

Thanks for the heads up on the jalfrezi betty . I agree SW are ridiculous with too much liquid. Is it the SW recipe on the site? I don't think it needs a tin of tomatoes and passata.

Pork chops done HB style were OK but I wouldn't do it again. I think I've lost the taste of pork chops which is probably why they've been in my freezer for so long. :)

    Thank you :)

    Morning

Tweets - sorry to hear about your Mum and poor Poppy. Hope all 3 of you get over the trauma very soon. I saw something on Facebook about wrapping something round a dog's chest to keep them calm when there are fireworks, no idea if it really works.

Emmylou - congratulations for hitting target! :T There's obviously something in the air, everyone's doing so well, the roll of honour gets longer everyday.

Football? We have the luxury of 2 TVs here so DH and I were in separate rooms. I may as well have watched it as there wasn't much on the other side.

Bettyboof - your face staying the same could be a good thing as quite often, people comment that losing weight has made you look haggard. Your face will have changed but as you say, you look at it everyday so you don't notice a much.

I'm a bit fed up with the scales, I'm sticking to plan but there's been very little change so far. I've been weighing everyday (I know, bad idea) expecting great things, but I'm only 1lb less than when I got here.

    Anyway, I'll keep plodding on.

    Have a great weekend everyone.

    LL :)

    Thank you :)

Last year Poppy had a thundershirt didn't work :(

Here she is in thundershirt behind sofa :(

  • Wizkid you're certainly not thick! A for and against list is a sheet our consultant gives out sometimes to motivate members and remind them why they joined SW in the first place. You list your reasons for sticking to SW - e.g. want to have more energy, look better, fit into my old clothes etc. and you list your reasons for not doing it - e.g. it's hard to cut down on chocolate, you don't like cooking from scratch (or whatever!) etc. Once you have both lists you'll hopefully see that the "for" list far outweighs the "against" list and you can start to address the problems - factor a curly wurly into your syns, stock up on SW ready meals for when you can't face cooking or whatever applies. Hope that helps! :-)

Ha ha maman. Those shirts are awful! I believe it's a nod to the "Rosebery colours" as worn in 1881 (primrose and pink hoops)! I think our team last night hailed from that era too!

:T on the losses tie and betty .

Good to see you've got some more Speed in today flutterby . You must had time to shop! Can't be easy with DS.

I've been off plan today except for breakfast. Feeling really fat tonight. :(

Having read your post betty I dug out my 'before' photos. Maybe it's different for different people but my face hasn't changed a lot. One of the reasons I don't drop my target further is that if I go any lower my face and neck start to look scraggy. If I could lose only from my thighs I'd happily go for half a stone lower.

I've got savoury mince in the slow cooker and ready to listen to Wales v Serbia. It's worth it just for the anthem!! :D

Thanks Betty, I will certainly give it a try. I am at my wits end. This has gone on and off since 2012 in the 1970s I went to W W it was the very old programme and it only took me 19 weeks to lose 2 and a half stone.. But slimming World is a far better way of life, with plenty of variety. In those early days of WW the programme was very strict. But, I did it. Ok I was a lot lot younger, thirty in fact and I had just had my third child. It seemed easy. this time I find it very hard; and I am diabetic and have high blood pressure, plus the fact I have had the big C of which I seem to be Clear at the moment.
Fingers crossed. I will persevere though. Thanks again for taking time to give me some ideas to get me going again. :):):)

I hugely admire your persistence wiz . I think you're right that the SW way of eating is much more 'normal' and healthy rather than a diet. Where you are at the moment is so close to target that it's not unusual to find it hard to lose those last few pounds. I lost 3.5 stone in 10 months but the last few pounds from the top of range to target (so just 3 pounds) took 11 weeks!

Thinking about the for and against list, I think we all can list the positives but RL has a habit of getting in the way! :)
