  • Anyone else found Prolific V-E-R-Y slow again this week? I mean by "slow" non-existent - .

Although Uni's dont have half term some have this week as 'reading week' aka pop home to parents:rotfl: so may be why things are slow.

I think for the pre-pay certificates you need 1.4 prescriptions a month to make it worthwhile.
The PPC is a godsend for my DH, he has 6 prescriptions a month, it would cost us a fortune without.
  • PA surveys offered to me this week. 1, for a whole 9p yesterday. I didn't bother.

Hey all - here we go with another week then!

Beanie I went for the Pre paid certificate - done the 3 month one to start with as I hope the amount I'm needing at the moment will ease up a bit from a couple of months time. Both pharmacies were good as gold about retro-issuing a refund certificate too which is ace. EE & HH It costs £29-"something" for 3 months - so if you know you'll need 4 or more in that timeframe it makes it worthwhile. I've had three so far, plus put in for another 2 this morning.... :o definitely going to save money! (Although not as much as your DH EE!) WShen I applied I dated it so that if the hospital *do* raise a charge subsequently it will be covered anyway!

Surveys - Looked at email this morning and YAY - the very £4 one I needed from Populus Live! :T Completed without a problem and the points are already showing so I assume I'll make the payment run for tomorrow. :T

Greying I did order the scales - the set I went for seemed to be very well reviewed so fingers crossed yours were just duff. It also happens currently that we have absolutely MASSES of the CR2032 batteries kicking about thanks to a glitch from 7 day shop a while ago - I ordered a single pack (I think of 6) and they had a Buy One Get 4 (or might have even been 5) free deal on to clear stock... :rotfl: the only other thing we have that uses them is the kitchen scales! So far so good anyway, particularly as when I hopped on to try them out on Friday they promptly put me straight at my interim goal weight! :D

Shopping (Sainsbugs) came in at under £20 when I used the voucher they'd sent.
Weekend in Norwich stayed pretty much on budget apart from the pricey hotel - was mildly amused that a friend who booked a long while ahead of us was charged even more though!

Clothes are still proving to be an ongoing expense - bras this time - although I did shop around for bargains, just need to hope that they fit now! If they DO then it's bargainous indeed - 4 from Boux Avenue for £56.80. Also ideally need to get another pair of walking trousers ahead of going to Scotland at the weekend (Yes I know, ANOTHER trip away - this one involves special people though! ;)) and then *hopefully* things might calm down a wee bit... I've deliberately set aside money to cover the spendiness in that area anyway, and it can't be helped.

Food sorted for the week starting with pasta bolognese tonight. Technically I ought to have something iron rich, green and leafy on the side but I'm almost certainly going to be a rebel and not! :p

Another £3 from Populus - funny how things pick up immediately after you hit cashout level!

Have a lovely trip. GoOutdoors had some offer walking pants at the weekend, c£14 I think.

Ours had some Craghoppers ones for £20 Redo - I tried a pair on last night but wasn't impressed with the cut of them so I've left that on the back burner for the time being. Next time I get into the Regatta shop they have my favourite style in there as a rule so I'll maybe grab a pair at that stage. I can't wear Regatta own brand as they're too long in the body for me and they're incredibly uncomfortable as a result.

OK - Bras were 3 out of 4 as a win and one to return so that will be a £12 credit which effectively makes the three I'm keeping REALLY bargainous! :T the jumpers, two were great and the other one in spite of me carefully checking Matalan's sizing guide, is HUGE! I'll deal with those returns when I finish work tonight. Going to take refunds rather than exchanges on both of those as "every little helps" and I'd rather hold off to find something that really suits rather than ending up looking round for something that "will do". As a result of this I'm hoping today will be a NSD.

Food tonight will be something with eggs (yes, and green leafy veg, I promise!) and tomorrow is just me in so I'll just do a rice bowl with lentils, veg, toasted seeds and whatever else I can find.

Must remember I'll need to nip to Tesco Thursday morning to get train-friendly food - I get bored on trains, and it IS a long old journey, so makes sense to have vaguely sensible snacky stuff rather than ending up buying something pricey on there. I will definitely be buying at least one cuppa though! :p (Further note, must go to cashpoint to get weekend spends out.)
