Pressure to Change Feedback

As I said, if any trader contacted me to change my feedback I'd send them packing unless they gave very compelling reasons for doing so.
Unfortunately, I wasn't just asked to re-consider, it was a more direct request, which didn't sit well with me.
It was also making my small contribution into something larger than it is, as this company has excellent feedback, so it's obvious that when things go right, people are happy.
But feedback isn't all about when things go right.0 -
For me you received good service, the item was lost in the post which isn't the sellers fault, you waited the time stipulated by the courier to the retailer and then you were refunded. That's good service if you ask me, there are plenty who make you jump through hoops in this situation.
As I see it your blaming the seller for the couriers failings, and by the was Royal mail make you wait 15 days.0 -
What is the point of feedback if it all has to be positive?as this company has excellent feedback, so it's obvious that when things go right, people are happy.

I couldn't agree more. I see nothing wrong in what you wrote as a review.
If I was in your shoes ... If the company had been more respectful in how they approached this then I'd be more willing to consider their request. From what you describe it's almost as if they've made a demand .... they could go swivel if that's the case!0 -

The buyer didn't choose the shipping agent - the seller did. Therefore shipping forms part of the sales contract and thus overall experience.0 -

Obviously. For obvious reasons. Maybe the company should review its delivery options ?
you should not have said anything and just left it as it was
You mean lie ... as in a lie by omission ?
but you felt the need to give a negative impression of the seller which is frankly unfair.
How is it unfair ? The item didn't arrive. Maybe other customers might like to know that. Pretty much the whole point of feedback.
Feedback is an accurate reflection of service provided. The OP's feedback was accurate, end of.0 -

I know some suppliers don't act graciously when items go AWOL. It happened once before. Turning around a previous comment, the result was that I 'blocked' that seller. Plenty more of those.
With this seller, I ordered again immediately. I liked their response....until they asked me to change my feedback. I'd already told them I'd look at it again when the matter was resolved, and that's what I'll do.....with help from you people, perhaps.0 -
Who chooses the courier and sets the level of service in this regard?

Did you get the original refund, I thought you said you had?0 -

Yes, so far as I know. Haven't checked statement.
I assume others are telling the truth until they are shown not to be.
My post isn't about a refund; it's about being asked to alter feedback generated by the length of time I had to wait before a problem with the order could be firmly established.
Is it really that hard?0 -
Personally I agree with the neutral rating, having to wait 10 days for a refund for an item that fails to arrive within the indicated 3-5 days, falls short of good service in my view. (One piece of info that I think you should consider adding to your review is an indication of the price of the item.)
If I felt I was being pressured into changing my rating then it would entrench the rating, and indeed in some circumstances I might be tempted to add the fact that I had been asked to change my rating to my review's description. (Note if the seller gave more information on what had happened and requested I reconsider, then I would not consider that pressure to change.)0 -
I think you're being generous. I'd have given less.Pants0
