Just in case there's a shred of rationality left... So we know what this particular mini-roundabout looks like! You said it was a small one - that's possibly significant in the question of who was first on. How good are the sightlines - is there a lot of street furniture to obstruct the rightwards view? Are the approach roads at 90 degrees or a different angle which makes it harder to see approaching vehicles? How many approaches and exits?

The first description sounded as you started out, didn't see the fast approaching cyclist and he hit your front wing while you were halfway into the roundabout. Later descriptions sound as if you were fully on the roundabout and the cyclist rode over the centre spot aiming straight for his exit point thus hitting your wing as you crossed his path. Seeing the junction makes it easier to visualize.

And using Ubuntu too. How unusual. Not at all like a newbie forum poster at all, more like someone who knows what they're about with IT, and probably an experienced poster on forums. Hardly the sort to get lose an account and have to create an 'emmasaundersagain' AE.
