Cyclist collision at mini round about
Comments

I feel sorry for the OP who clearly did not intend to put their car in the path of a cyclist on a roundabout. Hope they are not injured. Accidents happen & I guess this is why we have insurance.
I commute by bike and by car. On a bike, experience has taught me to assume that a driver has not seen me until we have made eye contact. In a car, I am often scared by how much I go into autopilot and zone out listening to the radio.
Hopefully car technology will solve this problem in the long term. Self-driving cars equipped with sensors more reliable than the human eye and brain.0 -
Good morning OP, i am so sorry to learn of the terrible situation you found yourself in, i am also disappointed with the floorless, anfry pro blame comments you have received on this forum, please try and place those posters on "ignore", especially those who want to "debate" in a unhealthy manner.
This is another example of a cyclist not being responsible by failing to have lights, reflectors and allowing to be seen. Some words of wisdom, you dont have to respond to every message on this threrad, infact be chossie who you respond to XXTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -

Please grow up and stop trolling. And debate? You only accept views that agree with your position so don't preach about debating.
If you fail to give priority to the right on a roundabout, then you are de facto at fault. Cyclist or motorist. Read a highway code yourself.0 -

I think motorists have already realised that it will b easy to take advantage of driverless cars:
“[The AVs are] going to stop. So you’re going to mug them right off. They’re going to stop and you’re just going to nip round.”

Your choice, but I wouldn't risk my life or others in the car on that basis, would be pretty stupid.0 -

It could lead to Driverless Cars starting their own thread on MSE to complain about cars with humans driving them ignoring the rules of the road.0 -

Are these self driving cars from goggle by chance?Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -

So trinidadone should be first on your list, as he'll be unable even to define what "unhealthy manner" means.0
