Any progress on this yet?I'm also having this problem! Very annoying
You can do it if you use a 3rd party image hosting site like postimage, you do it the same way as you would if you were posting a picture/image. See post 27 and subsequent posts for instructions.
Some people only exist as examples of what to avoid....0 -
Thanks Joansgirl, worked a treat.
MSE have known about the problem since 8th Oct but nothings been done to date to fix it.0 -

Bouncy spidie is back! :j :j :j
I've decided to have seasonal blackbirds! This is the winter one.
(I had to resize it on Photobucket before uploading via postimage as it was too big. It's gone a bit blurred though. Don't know why.)(I just lurve spiders!)

MSE used to be a forum and site that saved members money and made some money for itself. Now it is a money making commercial venture with a forum as an aside. Spending time fixing forum faults is not going to make any money so it is not a priority.0 -
Hmmmmmmm.
A bit irritated.
Before Christmas, I managed, with a bit of difficult and a lot of advice from other members, to change my avatar from this......
(A)
to my usual Christmas one......this......
(B)
However, when I was logged out, my avatar still showed as the original one (A)
Then, after Christmas, I changed it from the Christmas avatar (B) to a more general winter one...
(C)
Then, when it turned frosty, I changed it again to ......
(D)....
.....which is my current one.
A couple of days ago, when I was logged out, I noticed that the avatar showing was not my latest one, (D), but the previous one, (C).
From this I deduced that for some reason, when you are logged out, the avatar shown is the previous one.
No matter, I thought.
However, since yesterday, when I've been logged out, the avatar showing is not the previous one, (C), but the Christmas one, (B)!
This makes it look like I have not changed back my Christmas one, and as it is now 12th Night, I stand to have lots of bad luck as I can't seem to change the logged out avatar!
Aaaargh!
Who can I sue for the bad luck that will undoubtedly ensue from this ?
Or will I have to stay logged in for ever? Or at least until next Christmas!

I don't think they update stuff very often Pyx. Logged out my avi is the cosmic one I think, which was 2 avi's ago
As I said before, even logged in, on the blue format, the avis are all out of date.

As long as you don't want to sue all the people who have the avatars/signatures turned off by default and don't actually have to see any of them!
;-)
No, ok, you're all right, then!
I have the green format, so when I'm logged on, I see D.
When I'm logged off, and therefore can only see the blue/white format, I saw C for a couple of days, then it went back to B! That's what's so strange!(I just lurve spiders!)
