Does it smell funny? Bubbling as if it's fermenting? If not, taste a bit. If it tastes fine then use it.

think its ok thanks so much had a taste a bit earlier and so far no ill effects.
  • Should be fine reheated in a microwave at work the next day.... as long as it's heated thoroughly throughout. I've done similar many, many times and am still here to write this reply!

    Hi kingkano,

Yes it does. I often buy raw chicken reduced on it's use by date. If anything is raw, once it's cooked, I disregard the use by date. I cook it that day then the usual rules apply for cooked meat....cool quickly, keep chilled and if reheating make sure it's piping hot. My rule of thumb for meat is to keep it in the fridge for three days max.

I thought this might be the case thanks! 3-4 days for me too - less for the little one more if its me as I have a cast iron tummy :)
  • Thanks everyone....I was worried.....so I think I will ask hubby what he wants to do....and if he chooses to take piece of chicken pie to work to make sure that he heats it thoroughly in microwave.......gets me off the hook.....
