Well I am eating "use by 18th" & cooked on 18th sausages tonight
If this is my last post you will know why
Actually I have no qualms about eating them, and expect to be around for years to comeEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
we ate them, so far so good lol0

Not sure if i'm overthinking this one. Anyway.. when we have lasagne there are often leftovers which we reheat the next day. I generally stick to the rule that it's OK to reheat anything (just about) once after it is initially cooked.
I've made a lasagne this morning which is now in the oven for supper but have realised that the mince etc was in fact cooked this morning when I made the sauces. Therefore even though the dish as a whole is only being cooked for the first time now the seperate components are in fact being reheated. Should I therefore not reheat tomorrow?
As I say, not sure if I'm over analysing this!!

I never thought about it that way, but truth be told i always cook my sauce (with mince) and then cook the whole thing the next day, portion and fridge/freeze and reheat another time... done it for years, we're all okayWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240

Me too! That's the thing - I've never really given it any thought but when i put it in the oven today had a moment of confusion.
As you say - if I've done it for years and lived to tell the tale it'll probably not kill us to carry on.
Thanks0 -
I cooked some that were reduced "eat by 19th" cooked them yesterday, and forgot to put the ones left in the oven into OH's sandwiches today - never mind, he will have them tomorrow.
I'm sure after you cook them, they get at least another 3 days grace on them.0
