It'd be ok,I've done this before many times mainly when I've forgot to portion up the meat when I've got it home & bunged it straight into the freezer, having to partially defrost it to get what I want then re-freeze it.
As long as you soak the defrosted liver in milk for a few hours to remove the impurities than the's no dramas.0 -
I wouldn't be keen. First it's liver, which can deteriorate very rapidly. Secondly it's been frozen twice without cooking it inbetween, which is a bit of a no-no. Thirdly it was a whoopsie which means it was getting close to the use by date. Three possible problems in one package. Given that it probably didn't cost you that much in the first place, I'd bin it.Val.0

You do realise that it will mean fewer items on the 'whoopsied' shelf don't you?0 -

It will be fine hun! if you bought it fresh from a supermarket then you can freeze it. I would cook it thoroughly though as its been frozen. I dont care what the cheffy luvvies say - I dont think liver should be served less than 'well cooked'! I dont mean done to cremation - but cooked all the way through!0

Heating anything to a high temperature kills off 99% of all bacteria...so it would need to be well cooked.0
