Tiamai they usually do here, it's usually £40, but she's under 18 so couldn't.

Juliejim depending what model it is you might be able to get the manuals online

Been to DS1s school fayre, spent a fortune on nothing as you do at these things but all goes to a good cause.

Got through 3 boxes of paper work which are now half a one, got a stack to shred will let DS2 do that (supervised of course) as he loved using the shredder. Found the MOT :D Still no sign of the V5 :( so will continue the search this evening.

How long does everyone keep bank statements, bills etc for ? I have everything going back 6 years, I don't think I need all that really....
One day I might be more organised...........

am back from holiday, still at OHs, though planning to set off back to mine at 6pm. hopefully that will mean i can get home before it's dark and get my washing done! always dread going home and getting back to it after a holiday (esp as home is also office). tomorrow after working in the mornign i'm meeting best mate in winchester for food which should be cool. :)

feel quite tired after travelling all day but had a good holiday all told. a few too many mozzie bites but i have a nice healthy glow!! need to get back to the diet though! far too much beer!

will catch up properly later, haven't managed to read much of the thread. have i missed pics of Jill's baby?!

away, I'd have charged the Dad! They DO do that here though! My bro in law charged the parents of an underage vomiter.

Back from lovely country park walk. Kids are relaxed but starving. Dinner is on!

Tiamai, I said that but I think he felt bad enough for him that his daugther was in such a state, he said the guy just paniced and got straight in the car to go and get her. His boss might send him an invoice however for the cleaning of the seats. We've had issues claiming cleaning costs in the past, one student was in for a nasty shock as the uni paid it then billed him. Thankfully it doesn't happen too often, more so over the festive season usually, once a year drinkers etc, he's pretty good at spotting a 'hurler' now and just won't let them in if he thinks they will be sick.

No word from estate agents yet, they did say if they heard back by today they would ring so looks like it will be at least Monday now. I'm sad as I keep looking at the advert on the estate agents website and thinking where can I put stuff etc :o :rotfl: I know it'll make me worse if it falls through but I can't help it. Have looked on other agents websites and no alternatives suitable so far.

No I haven't done much yet :o I'm going to do the paperwork sorting when I'm sorting the boys out for bed and do study time after that, decided to give myself a little break as I need it.

Forgot the cute bit about school fayre, we arrived and my DS was pounced on and hugged by a really sweet little girl, she's the only girl in his class, DS1 blushed and peeled her off him :rotfl: his face was a picture.

  • Don't know whether to think myself lucky or not. DS in bed again already after i woke him up at 4pm. So he has had 5 hours sleep through today and now in bed over an hour early again. He's obviously really poorly, although he gave me a big smile as i lay him down in the cot so he has some energy for that. It is worrying especially with DH being away.

torianut -he's not 1 for another month, so there will be just short of 19 months between them.

I guess i should start doing something then as again not much done today - but i feel shattered, so i might make dinner 1st and then see what i can manage. Glad to hear some of you have been more productive

    Evening

Rach Welcome back, glad you had a nice holiday :)

Been busy, emptied the airing cupboard at the top of the stairs that was full to bursting with stuff, mostly DD1's, put it in the spare room and she's been told to sort it within 3 days and whatever she leaves will be either eBayed or binned lol, but it's given me a nice big empty cupboard now so gonna store all the DIY stuff in it (they're currently residing all over the place) it feels great!

Gotta do a little list as I've got that many things on the go I need to see them down or I'll forget something

    strip walls in kitchen
take tool box upstairs for cupboard
    bring washing in
    clear kitchen surfaces
    hoover front room (again)

Gonna give myself 30 minutes to do the ones in orange

    get set................go!

Michelle, why don't you get some rest in while Charlie sleeps, he might be up more through the night and I'm sure it'll help deal with that if you can get some rest now especially with your DH being away. I know I would be sleeping when he is if he's poorly and sleeping a lot during the day.

Argh I've forgot to put the water heater on again, went to wash up and bloomin cold water. DS2 NEEDS a soak in the bath, might even have to shower him first, he's been out helping DP and he's manky!

Managed to get a load of washing dry on the line :D had almost given up hope of line drying again this year! However I've had to beat it harshly, covered in tiny black flies, argh! I think I will just put the next load on the airers, looks like its going to rain anyway.

Michelle, DS2 sleeps a lot when he has a cold, I once saw him have only 4 hours of being awake, 3 days in a row!

So long as his temperature is staying down, let him sleep it off. And you get some sleep or rest while he is.

I know what you mean about worrying, most of the time you just want someone to say 'he is fine, stop worrying', but even when you think he is getting worse you need someone to confirm it! Thats what NHS24 is for!

    Done! yay!

Michelle I know they're a worry when they're poorly but try not to fret too much, as long as his temperature stays ok then best to let him sleep. Hope he gets better soon x

tinselfairy Well, seeing as I haven't baked since being at school lol something simple :D I have in 26 yrs since then made chocolate cornflakes and yorkshire puddings and that's it. I have been looking at the recipes index though and copied them to notepad, but I think for this week I'll be doing Shortbread and see how they go. I'm not keen on Cherry but the Blackberry bars sound delish!
