Anyone know where I can get something to filter the last bits of coffee that get through the caffetiere's net thing, **per** spits out tiny coffee grains. I've found 6 bags of fresh coffee in the food stocks so may aswell use it up.
Pigpen isn't Freemans interest free ? I remember having a catalogue years ago that was, think I would pay off something that incurred interest first. You of course know that isn't me saying what you are doing is wrong, just I would do it a bit different.
I'm not listing anything yet, just putting stuff to be ebayed seperate when clearing out. Not much so far as donated a pile to each of the fundraisers on this weekend & sent lots for charity shop that I don't think I will get much for.
Found some left over carrot cakesexymouse the one I'm eating has no nuts in so if you want to save spending could do one without.
One day I might be more organised...........

Morning
Lots of hangovers today thenthat'll teach ya
eBay - I'm feeling a bit down about it actually, sorted some more stuff and had a lookee to see what they're selling for etc etc and most are only penniesthere's no way I'll ever make £50 a month my stuff just isn't worth anything, and when I think of all the things I've chucked out in the past *shakes head* still no bids on the one thing I've listed but I'm not really expecting any, maybe the last day! that seems to be how it works.
Anyway, done loads of bits this morning but nowt that's made a difference if you know what I mean. Kitchen's still a dusty hovel and I'm fed up of it all trailing right round the house, the sooner it's finished the better! moan! moan! moan!
Tidied my baking cupboard that was full of stuff I bought for school cooking and had to chuck the lot not one thing that was use by after 2005it's empty now though and ready to stock up with new things I'm gonna buy cause I'm gonna start baking..
Done

Everything else is going to be paid off with the loan that should be through monday or tuesday so I'll only be left with interest free debts.... both credit cards, the original loan, BHS storecard, Next (again) and the boiler will all be paid off I don't have anything else with interest I've paid them already! .. oh.. apart from the student loan which is about 4% apr which is only £98 a month and only had 1 year left anyway... I have kind of sorted things I think.. but you never know with me! lol
Thanks for the advice though.... I know it was well meant ..
I love it here!
AND we can make overpayments on the new loan.. with no monthly limit.. but if we are a bit strapped the monthly payment is 'only' £252 .. a weeks tax credits.. so much better than the £1100 a month we pay out a month on everything now!! We should be freeing up £600 a month!!! FOOD!!!!!!! lol We also get deferred payments until April which is great. I'll be able to get christmas sorted then start looking at the loan.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Just been to look to see what I can make this week for food, and have found the carrots have gone mouldy! I decided not to keep them in the fridge this time, cos they alway seem to freeze in there, so I put them in the dark cupboard where I keep the spuds, and they are going black! May be able to save a few, but looks like they will have to be thrown out - I hate wasting food! At least they were 2 bags for 50p though, so I won't have wasted too much money.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -

hi guys, just catching up on everyone's news - will not leave it a whole day again  :rotfl:
Took the little people into town yesterday dd1 needed jazz shoes so she is running around doing jobs just now so that she can earn enough marbles for me to hand them over to her :j
ds1 on the other hand has just lost all of his and is having his 5 mins in the utility room...
oh has just gone out to tax my car, post mail and go to the butchers.
It might just stay dry here today so there is a WM frenzy (well more than normal  )
I need to:
paint stools for kids desks,
sort through all the clothes in our bedroom - bin bags at the ready!
finish the paperwork pile (only an inch high now!)
ironing marathon,
go to MIL and FIL's to set up their computer and take kids for a walk in the woods while we are there,
start stripping the wallpaper off the lounge ceiling  I thought I had loads of time to get this done - we were told 7 weeks for furniture to be delivered (last week) they phoned yesterday and are delivering on Wednesday!
So far have:
found a new set of buttons for dd1 top - turned out to be harder than it sounds!
sorted through 5 inch high pile of paperwork.
Found 1/3 of carpet in our bedroom(will hoover it when I find the rest!)
Measured little people and ordered waterproofs.
Bought paint for kids stools.
Ok better get to it before I think of more jobs to do :rotfl:
Catch you later!0 -
Just spent ages catching up on the posts.
Lil_me - your husband did exactly the right thing. Last night DD age 15 went to a party with school friends, and when I picked her up at 11pm, was extremely drunk. I've never had a problem with this before, and was just very grateful that she was not sleeping over anywhere or coming home on the bus. I have sat up with her all night, and she is now feeling extremely fragile. I am sooo angry with the so called friends and their stupid stupid irresponsible parents who actually made no attempt to stop her. Why didn't one of them just ring or text me?? Guess who's grounded for the rest of her life?
On the flying front, I did a whole day on Wednesday to get ready for DS2's exhange student, and that was it. He's here for a week, and I think it'll probably take me until Christmas to find all the things I chucked into my room/any half-empty cupboard/under all the beds...
My mother has been transferred to a neuro rehabilitation ward, which is very encouraging news. Not that there is any chance of recovery, but a bit of therapy that can improve quality of life is wonderful. Especially after the week before, when they weren't going to do anything, but just send to a nursing home - to wait until she has another stroke and dies. I don't want to get old. Can someone please just hit me over the head with a shovel in a few years time?!!
The sun is shining, and I'm going to play in the garden. I may treat myself to a trip to my favourite garden centre to buy some plants to replace the leggy petunias in all the tubs. And maybe some bulbs. DEFINITELY some bulbs!!
Have a good weekend everyone, hugs all round. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Afternoon one and all.no hangover here:D (makes a change) just can't get my butt into gear, think i need one of those limiter things on pc to cut off after so long,i waste so much tim on it.
spoke to the senco lady again, feel abit better about it now,it is good that they have noticed and want to help.also brought up the loo problem,it never happened last yr so we think as he's moved classrooms, and the loo for new one open's directly onto classroom he's embarressed to use it.so they have made arrangements for him to use a different one,so fingers crossed.
Just had to catch up on about 5 pages of posts, can't remember who said what, pigpen, wow, those nails:D .Hope all of you who are trying to sort out funds/grants/allowances get sorted.hope all sicky kids are better.can't believe i missed tea and carrot cake yesterday.:rotfl:
got loads of catching up to do here.mess just seems to apear as soon as i've sorted it out:mad: see you all later.Lead us not into temptation...
just tell us where it is and we'll find it....0 -
serena like someone said, most of us have done it at some point but you are right, I think he did the right thing aswell, especially as where she was staying the girls parents were out and there were boys there, girls with that much alchohol in them can be so vunerable. Hope your DD has learned her lesson, sounds like you've had a right night of it with her. I am pleased to hear they're doing something to help your Mum, must be a worrying time for you all.
borderlakland, school sounds really keen to help your son, I was wondering what the issue was with the loos, hopefully that will help him.
Right, time to start on the paperwork, leaving at 1.15pm for DS1s school fundraiser, more to show my face as he's just started the school and maybe get to meet some parents as he is dropped off and collected. So will do 20 minutes on paperwork before I go. That should sort 1% of itOne day I might be more organised...........

Afternoon everyone.
Lilme, hope your husband charges a fine for vomit. they do here, its £25! dirty little creatures! (can you tell i don't drink? or that I am vomit phobic?)
Pigpen, did you go doing a drunken shave-off? hehe!
Folk with hangovers [STRIKE]haha![/STRIKE] poor you...
Serena, my HUSBAND had his Mummy stay up all night with him on his stag night, he was ill for 2 days straight! Guess who has not drank as much as that since? Except his Dad's 50th, but that was because he didn't realise you can't drink with those Zyban tablets, idiot. Hopefully she will remember just how ill she felt and feels and be more sensible next time. But your right, it could have been worse.
I have been quite good, the house looks a tip (always does when kids are here) but I have hung out two loads of washing, ironed one load, put more loads on, made a nice lunch and washed up afterwards.
Now I am having a slump and just want some peace! No chance with the kids though. I promised I would take them out, so soon we will head off.
Husband is working till 11.30pm tonight, so I will get the eBay stuff done then. Dad has some horsey stuff to sell (but wants a bit too much for it), and tehre is some stuff upstairs to be looked out.0
