  • DH took DS to the cheapy Saturday morning cinema so I went to the local shops and did a shop. Bought babywipes so will be able to do the skirtings and door frames this week! :j
Sainsbury's were selling airers reduced to £2.99 so have bought one of those as no TD here and moreindoor drying space is always handy with the colder weather coming.

Collected DS from DH so he could go on and visit his dad in hospital and on the way home DS and I collected loads more conkers. Our bowl in the lounge is full up so hopefully that'll keep the spiders away. :T

sexymouse- good luck with the application.
lil_me- hope you find those forms and you all enjoy the fundraiser
dusty- how are you feeling now, less delicate?
vanilla- hope you and DH have a fab time out tonight
emb- what are you going to be baking? I'm hoping to make today cherry cakes and blackberry bars, both from out of the ASDA mag
mumoftwo- you have a great weekend too, sorry to hear you've been a bit low
    serena- hugs to you
chasing butterflies- good luck with getting the decorating sorted in time

DS has got 15 minute more TV time and then we're going to get homework sorted. I've got shopping to put away, WM to put on and a bit of general S&S to do.
We've got a couple coming round later who want to have a chat about the adoption process, hopefully the hosue should be presentable by then.

    Enjoy your weekend everyone.

    Afternoon all.

Computer wouldn't switch on this morning! I couldn't believe it wasn't working again already. Checked all the wires were pushed in before giving in and ringing the computer man. Had to take out the top lead and wait 10 minutes and put it back in again and then it would turn on. I must remember that if it happens again. Took me an hour to stop feeling sick. I should really go without a computer, it makes me so stressed, but I couldn't face actually having to go to a shop to get the food :D

    Anyway,

Three loads of washing done including DD's bedding, and it's drying well out on the line.

DH gone fishing so I have been able to get in the living room properly and I pulled all the furniture out and cleaned behind, did all the ornaments etc. and put everything away where it is supposed to be. It's nice being home on holiday but he's such a muddler that after two weeks it's really beginning to get me down ;)

Cleaned out the fish tank. Still just got one fish left. He's planning to live for ever I think. I remember about this time last year saying "he'll be gone by Christmas and we can get rid of the tank". He's going for the record. I can't even remember what sort it is, we've had him so long.

Remade DD's bed (she would do it herself but she's at work so I'm being nice ;)). Remade bed in spare room which has been stripped since DS went back to base a couple of weeks ago. It looks nicer with the bed made up and it gives me somewhere to have a nap in the day when my bed is covered in cats.....

Vacuumed right through downstairs and put new bag in vacuum.

Off to see if any washing is dry now.

Have carrot cake in the oven - managed to rescue some of the carrots - gave them a good scrub, and turned out that once I'd peeled them, they were ok underneath. I substituted sultanas for the nuts and wholemeal flour for the plain flour (hope this works - I'm a very nervous cook, and always try to stick exactly to recipes).

I'm sitting here eating carrot sticks and houmous for my lunch, and have cut up a few extra carrots and put them in a cup of water in the fridge with some clingfilm over them, so hope they keep ok - there are still some areas of domesticity that seem to avail me.

I still haven't been into town or taken my application form in, as I felt that the carrot situation was something that needed dealing with immediately. I now have orange nails from grating the carrots, which doesn't look too appealing, not nice and sparkly like yours pigpen!

18 minutes to go on the cake (provided it cooks in the time it says - I always find my oven takes longer to cook). Then I'm off to town to do the food shopping (need cream cheese now for the icing).

Catch up with you all later.

    sexymouse xx

Just realised that my post from friday hasn't worked  fortunately I printed it off and worked through it yesterday, the kids bedrooms are shining and I am determined to get them to keep them that way this week. I haven't managed to list anything on ebay yet although I have found two winter coats that are now too small for my youngest DD so will aim to get them listed tonight.

Other bits for today include -
    wm x3
iron school uniforms & get kids to polish shoes
    recycling to bank
    30 mins paperwork
try and start to tidy the garden up for winter

Right better go I have sat here for half an hour (my two are also watching High School Musical 2 which I recorded for them last night), time for a cuppa and then the wm will be finished and as it's now sunny and windy I might squeeze in a fourth wash today.

Forgot to add that I may be on here quite a bit over the next ten days as hubby has gone to France for the Rugby World cup - he and five of his old school friends were all 40 this year and have spent the last three years saving and talking about nothing else - so us girls are going to enjoy the peice and watch all the dvd's and telly that we want to ;)
  • Not fair - i think i must have pigpen's hangover. :D

I think Charlie has definitely got a bit of something as 2 hours battle with him at my friends where he wouldn't play, wouldn't eat the sarnie she made him, and wanted me to pick him up. Now he's back in bed.

Just eaten lunch myself and a couple more biscuits. Need to deal with the jeans in the WM, and do something but feeling poo and wanting to conserve energy for whingy boy.

Luckily i will get a hand later on at mums for a few hours at least.

serena - good news about your mum

i have to say i also think the right thing was done with the drunk girl

Lil me your DP did the right thing, oh my god how would he feel if something happened to the poor girl
Serena good news on your mum, hope your DD feels rotten and doesn't do it again
Pigpen your night out sounds interesting although I hope the removal was during the night in bit, LMAO
Dusty hugs, I felt the same way last sunday, said I wasn't touching booze again but had some Bud last night
Solwaykid at least you had a laugh on your date/non date and he wasn't some werido!
Michelle good to hear your doing well, me and DH keep having the shall we, shalln't we conversation at the minute.

Well, afternoon all now I caught up! Finished yesterday on level 2 so not too bad but Ds wouldn't let me get the hoovering done but no biggie. Also upacked a box of photos I wsn't sure what to do with and decided to get Dh to put some more pictures up. Feeling really dodgy today, dizzy and sickly and very tired, hope DS hasn't passed anything on.

Been into town this morning and brought DS his birthday presents, just need a card and then to sort his little party out. Boots have started their 3 for 2 so also brought another christmas gift and some hamper bits and put it all away. Also been on the market and got some veggies for the Harvest service at church tomorrow and made it all nice in a basket. SC on with a chilli for tonight and WM been on and pegged out. Everywhere tided up and looking good so am feeling happy. Really cold here though today so got fire on full trying to warm everywhere through, hope boiler get fixed on monday as I'm nesh!

So, Ds is in bed, a bit brighter today but a snot-fest - lovely! Think its all coming out now which is good. Just waiting for my sister to pop in for a cuppa and might nip to B&Q later to see if they've got any stickers in for playroom.

    Enjoy your saturday guys! Xx

    Hello all!

Don't do much flying on a saturday as I work in the morning and then OH goes to football so by the time I am changed and sorted the kids most of the day has gone!

Got 2nd wash load in WM - just rescued first load off line as it started drizzling and now the heating is on to try and get it dry!!

Hello again Michelle and congrats on the pregnancy - I haven't been on this thread for a while but I recall that Charlie was about the same age as my LO so that will be a lovely age gap - my dds have 2 yrs between them. Is he 1 yet?

Pigpen - that does sound like a fun night! - I miss them - haven't been drunk now for almost 2 years - we can never get a sitter later than midnight and LO gets up about 5.30!!

I don't miss the hangovers though Dusty I get really bad ones so I just can' do it!!!

Have a lovely weekend all xx

    Hi all

Well I've just spent over 2 hours ironing and I've still got 2 baskets overflowing:eek:. DD has tidied some of her bedroom so I can now see at least some of the floor!

We've had some topsoil and turf delivered this morning so DH has laid that in the back.

I want to try and find the instructions to my breadmaker and slowcooker as I want to start using them again.

I've also ordered my car tax online and sorted some clothes to get rid of.

Well that's my list for today - DH has just gone off upstairs in a strop because I said he shouldn't have taken a toy off DD for no reason and then got into an argument with her. Honestly, I feel like a referee between them sometimes!

Anyway, hope you're all having a good weekend

I forgot to put earlier that I sorted out some Christmas stuff I've been buying so I know what I've got. I don't have many to buy for but I still like to do it gradually. Not very keen on shopping.
