Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!
Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.
THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.
Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
27 Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding 27 items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

Wow a challenge we can do whilst sat at the PC! I lurrrrrrrve it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
For anyone listing on ebay for the first time bear in mind that your item will finish at the same time of day it is listed and depending on what you list a later or earlier finish is better eg kids stuff I tend to finish after 8pm as they are in bed and parents can have a bidding war without anklebiters butting inOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Tia.. I've just made £100 TODAY!!!! lol..
I like 'sitting at the PC' challenges too.... and ones that clear guff and gain cash are definitely worth a try

Hi peeps
Well I'm gonna be around again but I'm not promising I'll get much done. I leave the house at 730 and dont get in until 1/4 to 5, so I am not going to make my week too hard - I lack self confidence and not achieving has a big negative effect on me. The house is a tip again as didnt do much last week and then have spent the weekend preparing for a yard sale this morning, didnt do brilliantly but couldnt have got up to be at the car boot over the road at 6. At least we sorted some stuff and there have been 2 bin bags full of old stuff gone for the bin. I really dont think I can get on the ebay challenge as 1 dont know how to do it and 2 cant be @rsed! Did a lovely roast for tea so now have to go and finish clearing up, find school clothes, make lunches etc.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Motivation is my problem this week. Finding the flying a bit demoralising. Yes I can get the lists done but it just all needs doing again so quickly that it is starting to seem pointless. Am I just being a moaning mini or do some of you feel like this too?
Need to look at the kids Vs again and then onto the ironing - I've saved mine up all week so it will be a marathon session. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
PigPen you need to give me tips!
I know where I go wrong, postage! Example, click clack caterpiller thing, sold for £3.00, I charged £5.00 delivery, it cost me £7.25 to send.
Must double my postage estimates.
Or use scales and royal mail website.
But £100 is excellent!0 -
Ladies, ladies, do not be despondent! Whatever you do is making a difference! Have a hug.
I've just had a rant on the old thread and promised to arrive here with a smileYes, there is a coathanger in my mouth..
Ta for the new list Pigpen, I won't be joining the E-bay frenzy but I'll do some more flinging. Dig deep.. And I think it's my turn to be the psychic cyclepath this week, my washer has just finished it's 95' empty wash :T Yey, I'm ahead! Promise not to do the other stuff 'til tomorrow though. One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400
One debt v 100 days Part 13 £329.66/£380
One debt v 100 days Part 12 £380/£450
