Weekly Flylady Thread 17th September 2007

I'm back in again this week, this has been such a help to keep me motivated and it is starting to make a difference on the house:T

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room

Level One
Clean floors
Level Two
Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
Wipe dining table.. and check the underside.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances
Clean oven if you didn't do it last week
Extra Mission
Choose one or more of:

• Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
  
• THIS WEEKS CHALLENGE!! Photograph 25 items for ebay.. .. and list on turbolister 5 today!.. Don't upload.. we are doing that later in the week!!
  
• Put WM's/DW's on a 'clean' cycle.. make sure those doorseals and filters are clear.. soda crystals and white vinegar get rid of unpleasant smells and germs.. I usually put a cap full of bleach in mine too.
  
• 30 minutes ironing!!! After last weeks challenge you should be pretty much atop of this!!

shazamaca is your filter inside a little door and is it that you cannot open? I openned mine with 2 wooden lolly sticks.

2 kids v's freezed for the third time - it is hurting more now when I do it, little one was crying so I am hoping that means they are finally going. DS1 still in the bath. About to start my ironing.

evening all
been a lovely day here weather wise got at least 6 loads washing dry(which oh is upstairs squashing as i type:p )had oh's dd here for the day which was good,don't get to see her v often as his ex is being a bleeping cow over access:mad: (even though they are only 10 mins away)

don't mind ebay challenge as i haven't got an sellers account and not got anything to sell apart from fridge so I'll make that my challenge to get fridge scrubbed out and photo sent to mum for her to list for me.

lil_me its so frustrating isn't it,kids,pets and renting just don't seem to mix as far as landlords are concerned.was worse before when i was on income support etc, just about every ad said in huge letters no DSS:mad: .mate of mine owns several properties in wales and most of them are rented to people on housing benefit.she reckons its far better as you are guarenteed your rent and has alays had far less probs with them than people who pay their own rent.(maybe i should move to wales:rolleyes: and rent from her)

I need to start a flylady challenge this week!! So count me in, I'll post my list later/tomorrow, at least then it will up there for all to see and will hopfully motivate me!!!!!!

Just need to iron DS's school uniform for tomorrow and that's me done.

Made a toffee apple cake today which is pretty scrummy to go in with lunches this week.
Dropped off spare keys to mum as she is meeting DS from school on Tues as I'm off for my scan.
Went over to dad's to collect some garden pots he doesn't want anymore.
Worked out my new working hours for when my job moves offices later this year. Will have to work 4 days a week instead of the 3 I currently do to maintain my wage as my travelling time will be longer. Will definitely need to keep up with flylady then.

Have got loads of boxes upstairs of things to take to a car boot maybe I'll have a root round and see if I can get some bits out and try this ebay challenge as I've never sold anything on there before.

AnW's mum- did you do the malteser bake today?
Kaz- good to see you are still here with us
Dusty- i know what you mean, sometimes it does seem hopeless when I seem to be the only one here doing stuff, but knowing what the alternative is I keep going and I'd miss this thread too it helps my sanity in lots of ways!

Washing is pretty much up together so am going to stick the machine on an empty hot wash now.

Must be colder out this evening as the cat has decided to come in and stay in!

I'm going to try and follow the lists properly this week and really, really want to keep on top of the house.

DH is very embrassed about last night and all upstairs sorted and VAX'ed, bedding all washed and back on. Been a very windy day here but great for drying outdoors. Washing and ironing all up to date so am starting with a clean slate.

• Ring gran
• Playgroup 10am
• Post bank letter
• Get diesel

Been facebooking all night, seen loads of pics of last night of us which all embrassing. Set my little page up and am hoping this new interest wears off as been wasting time. Trying a new playgroup tomorrow hope its not too scary and hopefully DS will be a bit better tomorrow.

I'm in this week, i seem to do fine monday and tuesday and then it goes down hill big time.
We went to look at a house last night because if we don't get the grant for my daughter we will have to move. The house is lovely but will need alot of work.
Love the ebay challenge must go and see how it works, haven't used it in a few years, any advice or tips would be great.

I can get the door open but it is trying to get the filter out it has a knob on it to turn but its not turning..........must be filled with yuck as i dont think i've ever cleaned it!!!
