Bilmey is it that time already  done BA so far. Had a coffee with a friend after the school run and then well erm bascially sat here :o. Can't even really say I sorted the post as it was a bill which is on monthly DD anyway (and is always the same amount!) :rotfl:

So big kick needed please, got some ebay sales to parcel up and ironing to do as well as the list.

I second pigpen on the ebay packaging front, reuse every time provided it will not rip open in transit. I tend to keep it as lightweight as possible to reduce post costs. I bring used jiffy bags from work and use those. For my shop (business) sales I use new packaging but the cost of that is built into my P&P charges. If you do have to buy packing you are perfectly entitled to pass on the cost to the customer so long as it is 'reasonable'

    Right coffee, packing, ironing......

    Hi All

DS has been to school for the first time today - just for 1.5 hours - so I stayed in school and went into the class I work with.

Party went well yesterday - luckily the rain stayed off so the kids spent most of the time outside on the bouncy castle.

Apart from pigpen's list, my list for today is:

    WM x numerous
    Rubbish to tip
    Recycling out
Buy birthday card for DS (birthday tomorrow, meant to order one from ebay then left it too late so need to go and buy one!)
    Fetch bread, milk, etc.

I think that's it - I need to move DS's birthday presents. He was given some at his party yesterday and we said he could open one. We brought the rest home and left them in the kitchen and he came down this morning, on his own, and started to unwrap them. When I asked him why he was unwrapping them he said it was his birthday today! I've told him he can't open anymore until tomorrow but I need to move them out of his way!

Okay I'll go and make some lunch then make a start.

    Hi everyone,

definitely a Monday morning feeling here. DD has a cold and was furious that I sent her to school, DS1 was stroppy because he doesn't like getting up in the morning, but had to be in for first lesson, he slammed and banged through breakfast, and then pulled off the drawer front from the cutlery drawer. I love them very much, but I am quite content not to see them until this evening!!

I then had a long call from my sister. She discovered that Mum had thrush in her mouth yesterday and was in a lot of discomfort when she visited her, and the nurse was quite off hand about it, and said they couldn't do anything until the next day because there weren't any doctors around (what? on an acute ward??). My sister felt she had made no headway at all, and spent a miserable night worrying that she'd let Mum down (my mother would never make a fuss herself). This morning she couldn't get through to the hospital for ages, and then when she did, the ward manager told her that they had treated mum just after my sister left. So she worried and got upset for no reason. AARRGH!!!

I think the stress is getting to all of us. I have had a very bad night's sleep, and can't settle to do anything - I keep feeling guilty that I am not doing something else. Like delivering DS2's forgotten football kit to school, which I have to do right now!

    Take care everyone.

Take it easy - you've got a lot on your plate right now. You can't do any more than you are doing.

Washing (my pet hate) - did a load, yipee!
Phone OT and ask for a toilet seat/step for the MONSTER
[strike] Phone sofa insurance thing (should I also mention the PEN?)[/strike]
Finish off the ironing (Erin Brockovitch was on!)
Got to Argos to collect reserved baskets
New sticker chart for DS1 (the good one)
Socks for MONSTER (people wonder why I say hes evil)

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room

    Level One
    [strike]Clean floors[/strike]
    Level Two
[strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces [/strike]
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
Wipe dining table.. and check the underside.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances
Clean oven if you didn't do it last week
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
    • Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms - no point, getting new ones in soon

    • THIS WEEKS CHALLENGE!! Photograph 25 items for ebay.. :D.. and list on turbolister 5 today!.. Don't upload.. we are doing that later in the week!! - will look out stuff, from OUR ROOM *dum-dum-dum*

    • Put WM's/DW's on a 'clean' cycle.. make sure those doorseals and filters are clear.. soda crystals and white vinegar get rid of unpleasant smells and germs.. I usually put a cap full of bleach in mine too. - mine doesn't have a clean cycle, can I just bleach my towels instead?
    • 30 minutes ironing!!! After last weeks challenge you should be pretty much atop of this!!

Phoned sofa insurance. Guess the woman who I spoke to has no kids, 'how did the nail varnish get there?'
'My son opened it and spilt it'
      'What age is he?'
      '2'
'Was he supervised when this happened?'

      '
[strike]yes, I stood and watched him do it[/strike] of course he wasn't'
    'Anything else?'
    'Pen'
    'How did that happen?'
    'My son'
'Was he doing homework or drawing?'
'no, he just got hold of a pen and decided to draw on teh sofa'
    'uhm... how old is he?'
    '2'
    'was he supervised?'
    'hmmm.... obviously not'

I don't know, I must be a terrible mother to leave my child ALONE long enough for him to be a horror.

Bonus event, I discovered I could now cancel a monthly payment of £29 for a gym I can never use as they don't have a creche and I have no baby sitters.

Serena, you need to take five and chill. It's not your fault, so don't feel guilty. Yes, your stressed, but you know that so you can fix it. Bets of luck, keep in there.

tia.. bleaching towels is allowed but for a 'clean cycle' it is normally just out on a normal cycle with no laundry and a 'cleaning substance' to kill off germies and get rid of build ups of limescale and black slimy goo... if most of us saw what our clothes were washed in we wouldn't ever wear them!! lol My cream leather sofa is covered in black and red permanent marker.. it cost £60 and when it is dead we will get another one.. probably when the children are about 50!!!!!

    Hi,
Don't know how to do the list thing and then cross them off.....?
    So, so far I've :
hoovered through and washed downstairs floor
put dishwasher and washing machine on 'clean' cycle and cleaned drawers, filters etc
put tablecloth and teatowels in washing machine
I've also emptied and cleaned the cupboard under the sink and thrown away stuff thats yuk and put other stuff back ( looks lovely)
Have emptied and cleaned the cupboards that have my storage containers etc in, 3 cupboards, looks like loads needs throwing out, the contents are currently all over the kitchen, needs to be done before I can have lunch.
also wiped down kithchen cupboard fronts and sides and small appliances.

I've done more than I thought...
