Hi everyone
Just caught up on 6 pages of posts!!!
Last night we were all fast asleep when the smoke alarm went off, checked round the house, nothing . Took me over an hour to drop back off to sleep so was knackered at work this morning.
We all were in bed by 9pm as kids are tired after a long week school/swimming etc and what happens... s*dding alarm goes off again at midnight :mad::mad::mad:
Couldn't stop the damn thing sounding even though I had the front door wide open so just had to clamber in the garage to switch the fuse off. Get's back in house and the upstairs one is bleeping coz the back up battery is low. Was just about ready to rip the thing off the ceiling when I found the instructions and managed to get it down, still can't get the battery out and was going to wrap it in a towel for the night when the battery totally died :rotfl:
Switched pc on to try and find instructions online hence being here now! Figured it will be ages before I can get back to sleep so might as well catch up lol
Ooooo's, aaaaaaaah's, hugs and grrrrrrrs as appropriate to one and all

Lil-me I think your DP was sensible by telling the parents. I don't think many taxi drivers would do that. I would like to know if it was one of my children.
Mind you we've all done it!Nothing to declare

:rotfl: Tippsy posting, I love it, I'll give it a go sometime. Hope the head's ok this morning Dusty?
Lil_me, two spewers in one evening, hell, I couldn't cope with that. Think I might have grassed on her too especially if I was a bloke - drunk young girls can be loose cannon.
AnW'smum, hope you managed to get some sleep after your alarm escapades. I bet your heart was pounding when it woke you.
I was in bed by 10 last night after a 40 minute challenge and have got a busy day ahead. I've committed to too many things - fetching a friend from Newcastle to give them a lift to Cumbria as I'm going home (still home despite not having lived there for 19 years!). Want to catch up with my mate and then my cuz and planned a night in with another mate. My bro, SIL and the ever growing niece/nephew to be are going up too. They like to hijack my weekends to fit round them 'holding court' and no doubt have plans for me too. Sorry I'm sounding off here. Just trying to justify doing MY stuff this weekend.
Making some chocolate almond bread whirls to take over. Got some ironing to do and an overight bag to sort. Get myself cleaned up. Book a haircut and new tyres fitting in the week (ta for mentioning tyres Lil_me). Sort the moggies for overnight. [strike]Sit here and put everything off for as long as I can[/strike]. I mean time to get a move on.
Have a lovely weekend.

Morning.
I am not feeling too bad this morning. Hope dustykitten isn't either when she appears.
Charlie woke at 6 as usual so no lie in but not too bad, and i felt quite rested despite being up loads to go to the loo during the night.
I'm determined to do some flying today. WM has been on once, and i have emptied the airers to put the stuff onto. Charlie is in a funny mood and wants to just throw himself on me in woe at whatever is wrong. I assumed it was teething so gave him gel and calpol, and he played for a bit and is now down having a sleep.
cats fed, i have a rare litter tray to change, but i promise i will be careful lil-me. Thanks for checking up on me. It's nice to be watched over, like a guardian angel or something. :A
I need to take some library books back and pay the fine, take charlie on a play date to catch up with my friend who i work with who i have barely seen since going back to work, then i said i would take charlie to mums this afternoon as we missed our wednesday visit due to parents evening. I also need to post back a DVD rental i must have had for a month, and finally watched last night.
Also have 2 sets of school books to mark, so may do that this morning while seeing what film or DVD i can watch, and perhaps some ironing.
So not too busy, but pottering for me.
Hugs to all.

Morning everyone!
Sorry I hope that wasn't too loud for some of you with delicate heads this morning.
Well, I didn't do any flying yesterday, but I did manage to fill out a job application for a maternity cover post (Year 3) that closes on Monday - must drive over there and post it through the letterbox today (if they have one). If I get the position, it will start 29th October - I'm quite scared though cos even though I've only been out of teaching since July, I'm worried that I may have fogotten lots. Plus I've never taught Year 3, and this will be my first class of my own so hard work, especially as they will have a new teacher half way through the term!
Although I didn't do any flying yesterday, I did it by-proxy as I convinced OH that as he couldn't get out to cut the lawns because of his foot hurting, that he could clear up some of the stuff at home, as only he was capable of sorting it all out as it is his clutter. Suprisingly, he did manage to clear quite a bit, and although the flat still looks like a DIY junkyard, it is slightly better than it was - I hope I can convince him to do some more tomorrow on his day off.
Hope everyone who is feeling poorly feels better soon. Suppose I'd better get on with some meal plans for this week, as I'm going to be temping again all week as a telephonist (apparently taking messages for people in customer services). It doesn't pay very well, but every little helps. May also try to do some baking today, as I bought a load of carrots to eat with my houmous (was on a health kick last week), and haven't used them, so I might make a carrot cake (unhealthy alternative) instead - will need to buy some walnuts though. Also have my eye on shell2001's chocolate fudge pudding recipe.
Well, best get on.
Take care everyone!

Well my day has been decided for me, was going to pack some kids stuff (did a bag full in bathroom last night to save on boxes) My old car is getting traded in for the new one, I went in the file last night to get the MOT and V5 and it's not there  I have no idea in which box of about 12 boxes of paperwork it is, so todays declutter/packing mission will be paperwork so I can look for that at the same time!
Michelle does your library do online rebooking? Ours does via the website or you can ring them to rebook them out, has saved me a lot in fines.
Ok my list for the weekend, will probably expand as I wake up more and remember what I need to do
