    Good morning everyone,
Not having a great start here, DS2 has diarreia(sp) but is in good form, forgot to send in money for piano lesson yesterday so sent it today and left in a load of leaflets to the head teacher to give out for the wee group DD goes to ( numbers are falling).
Right gonna get a cuppa and get all the ebay stuff done, then have OH's meds to lift and then flying. oh it never stops does it.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Vanilla - hope DS2 gets better soon

Nicki - hope your day improves

Hugs or kicks to everyone else! xx

Morning all - thanks for the carb tips - will be trying them all - off to Mr T in a little while. It is cold here. Just making a coffee for the builder. Will risk putting towels on the line for a blow.

Thanks for the note on toilets at school - DS2 has just started secondary school and has started getting tummy ache - he is not being bullied but says he is getting too hungry to eat - I must check he is doing a wee though - pooing he has always done at home so don't think that would be a problem - oh the joys of kids. Not aiming high with the flying today, kitchen floor is covered in leaves from the wind so need to hoover there later.

Morning folks. Right, have to grumble sorry! Got up this morning to find the f8888888 boiler won't light. Lived here 2 weeks and the chuffing thing doesn't work, boy am I mad! Thing is the office used to work from here for 12 - 18 months so would have had heating on in that time and the now the stupid thing has died. The builders better not tell me to pay for it! So poorly DS, full of cold, its raning and freezing here and no heating or hot water. Great.

Know its not much in the grand scheme of things but when you buy a new house, you expect things to work, this is one thing on top of many. GGGGGRRRRR!

So, cuppa and scone scoffed and DS is in bed, not like him. He was crying so a little cuddle and then he was fast asleep in two sceonds, should have left at 9.25 for swimming but left him in bed as sleeps the best thing. Also been sick this morning which I think hes been sick 5 times in his life, has a stomach problem which stops him being sick. prehaps him puking today means hes getting better this that problem, hope so.

Tinsel thanks, wow thats a really extreme thing to be told, hope your ok, hugs
Dusty yes, at the moment hes being a toad lol. Hope its just him pushing to see how far he can go with me, think hes really fustrated as he wants to walk and that and can't yet although these last two days hes started pointing so thats helping in telling me what he wants. Hes 1 in two weeks.
Borderlakland hugs over your DS, my DH has always had an issue with loos since school but has never damaged him, hes just funny about germs. he'll only use loos in 'nice' places and never public, when his mum used to pick him up from school he'd run down the garden to wee as he couldn't wait for her to open the front door!

Tracey hugs too you and the little one. Mine were horrible before crawling and again walking. Heard somewhere that they need to get really frustrated with themselves to make them take that next step so hopefully he will be better soon.

    tracy nightmare on the boiler

Got a day at work then heading home to do a quick s&s of the house as my parents are coming for the weekend. Fortunately they arent that fussy. Does mean i have to give up my double bed to them and sleep in the spare rooms single one . Ah well....

Ooooh does anyone have advice on cheap cakes etc. I have organised a coffee and cakes thing next fri as part of the macmillam world biggest coffee morning. Coffee etc is sorted as its in the coffee room with on tap free coffee! But what cakes . They need to be cheap and easy (about 50 odd people and im supplying them (my bit to charity!)
Was thinking of cupcakes/ fairy cakes as they are simple and easy. PenPens macaroons which look easy.
    Flapjack (which is easy)
Malteser bake (which is easy and went down really well last week)
    What else????
I also need a diabetic one for someone.....

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have a good rest of the day hope you enjoy the friday feeling and dont get stuck in the kids rooms!
    Axxx

Tracy, hope your LO gets better soon, DS2 gets horrible colds all through the winter, then he needs an antibiotic as his chest gets infected, last year he ended up with Pneumonia. All I can say if he is still being sick later on, and has a temperature, get him to the doctor on call to have his chest sounded just in case. Although, usually them being sick is the best way to get rid of all the yuck in his chest and tummy! Nice.

    Pigpen, are those real?

They are amazing anyway! How do you manage to fly with them?!

I had my hair 'done'! I am now about 10lbs lighter after all my hair was chopped off. Oh, and I got highlights, I love it, I feel all good and so I have done stuff today!

    so far I have...

    Tidied living room
    Ironed
    dishes
    washing on
    washing over radiators
    sorted some paperwork out

Doesn't look a lot, but the difference is amazing!

Now I am going to look into batch cooking and actually making a meal plan for the week. I have been spending more money than ever on food shopping but not been making many meals.... Partly I think it has been my lazyness, well, yes, it has been my lazyness and not getting to teh butchers!
