just busy posting and addressing henvelopes for another site

am worried about ds2 he has been put on a IEP at school.I was told this by our brand new SENCO lady.it is apperntly to improve his confidence and self esteem,he is a bit nervy and gets worried easily, hates getting things wrong so won't try in case he gets it wrong(iysim)latest thing is him getting tummy aches all the time at home, turns out he hates the loos at school so won't go unless really necessary(he's nearly 10)so he gets "bunged up" tried explaining this is not good for him and if he needs "to go" he has to but it won't sink in.
am concerned cos a mates son had similar problem and ended up in hospital, sedated whilst they"cleaned" him out(sorry if anyone eating whilst reading this)have tried poking loads fruit/juice etc into him so he has to go but he just hangs on,stinks the car out then rushes to loo when we get in.sorry for moan.
better go and round up our 3 rowdy chinchillas who are currently pinging their way round the living room, loads of poo to hoover up tomorrow.hop they haven't destroyed too much stuff

    hugs for all xxx
    Lead us not into temptation...

just tell us where it is and we'll find it....
  • Well the bathroom is so sparkly you need shades to go in there :D I am talking about even using stainless steel cleaner to make the toilet brush holder gleam - what has happend to me? :rotfl: On the down side noticed a chip in the mirror - I resisted the urge to burst into tears and will phone a glazier to see if they have some "magic" fix for it tomorrow:rolleyes:

I have given myself a pat on the back as most of the other rooms are in pretty good nick as well (as long as I don't look in any of the bedrooms:o ) Team effort should get them sorted tomorrow - I will be dishing out marbles freely to any child that tries to help tidy them up. You guessed it - marbles make prizes!!!

DustyKitten - I am imagining that couscous is a carb :o I make this with a tomato and veg sauce (i.e. onion, babycorn, courgette, peppers, basil etc) and serve the sauce (mushed to nothing in the blender - or whole) over the couscous. Our eldest had an issue with chewing food so she loved pasta and couscous as they was no need for her to actually chew:rolleyes: Is great as a side portion with meat (goes down well in our house anyway!)

Ok just waiting for TD to finish and I can put another load in... and then go to bed - night all.

borderlakland my 8 year old had a MASSIVE issue with toilets, especially school ones. I have known him not to go for 14 hours inc for a wee when we were on holiday as it wasn't home toilet. No amount of the nagging helped but making toilets less scary places did, which took me taking him to other peoples toilets first, then progressing to public loos. School toilets especially boys ones are sometimes not very pleasant places, but there might be other issues to why he doesn't like going there which is what I would be asking first, if it's because others will be in there maybe they could arrange for him to go at a time there won't be others in there, if it's the smell etc and the school are willing to support you on this would maybe suggesting using a staff toilet which probably smells better be an idea? With the IEP I wouldn't worry too much, at least you know his progress in the areas he is struggling with will be/should be closely monitored. I'm impressed in a way that the school is picking up on issues like that as many children who are 'quiet' are just looked past in schools as they aren't causing any problems, children need good self esteem and confidence to progress.

embb I don't think 1.6 litre would really be enough for 4 people, suppose it depends what you are making in it. I can get a good 8 portions from my 6.5litre one, think the smallest I would have is 3 litre really.

I didn't think it would be big enough, ho hum! Thanks though :)

Littley woke me up at 5.20am this morning to tell me there was something on her bed and she didn't know what it was, it turned out to be a pencil case that she only uses when flying but had got out the other day  lol, so I've been up since then. S&S'd the kitchen, loaded the DW which is currently swishing away.

Got to tackle littley's room today  everything and I mean everything she owns is on the floor/dressing table/bed/side table, but if I roll my sleeves up and get stuck in it will only take me an hour tops, so that's all good.

I HATE GOING AWAY at time  Yesterdays washing took until after 9pm to wash  So laundrette is now on the cards for this morning as it is teaming down with rain  PLUS I have an extra load of washing to do as DD made herself sick this morning as she doesn't want to go to school. Just the normal teasing, but she gets worked up easily so that doesn't help. Her uniform is currently on the fire trying to dry it out as I was originally expecting to get it to the laundrette to dry :o Need to run to the Co-op as we have no crisps for lunches and I can't be bothered going to Asda so will go there on route to school.

My brain hurts - I have loads of things whizzing around in it. I think I might just put Evenescence on and blast it with the phones off and curtains closed. From the mess thats in my head I've managed this list but I'm sure there's more to do :
    • Dailies
      • Beds
      • Bathroom S&S
      • Kitchen S&S (incl. dishes)
      • Wash load - sicky stuff.
      • Tea - No idea yet
    • Hoover through - dust dinosaurs & sesame seeds everywhere
    • Mop downstairs, if only the kitchen!
    • Laundrette
    • Ironing
    • Pack for DD & me, OH can finish doing his when he gets in unless he texts/emails me things he wants putting in. I've decided for a "no just incase" pack this time, so that should halve the stuff we take :o:rotfl:
Right, off to put dishes away, rotate the cardigan and then get on with things. Laters (lunch time no doubt!) MUST REMEMBER THE SEA-LEG tablets .. going to get them now..
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

  • Morning, all grey and rain threatening here this morning.

DH has taken DS to school as he's got to go to the doctors this morning to collect his med cert and then off to the chemist.

Just had a mammoth reading of posts, 5 pages to catch up on!

Not going to post my list as it's huge as flying not been top priority, but it's not too bad around here.
Will print one out and work from that I think.

Really pleased you liked the new playgroups this week tracy, hope your little one is feeling better soon.
moonflower- hope the thread helps with getting your home together even more.
pigpen- what is in store for next week???
LJD- don't blame you for orgainsing the man for the gutters, can wait forever for DH to get around to some stuff here!
Dusty- congrats on getting the loft sorted, that's definitely one area we need to do a huge sort out in
border- hope your cold doesn't hang around for too long
penpen- thanks for the recipe. Think I might get DS to make some of those as extra xmas pressies for grandparents
sproggi- hope your DD's appt goes ok at hosptial

    Hugs and hellos to everyone.

Saw doctor last night and all tests point to endometriosis again.
Will need to have a laparoscopy (sp?) again to see how much is there, that's the only way of finding out. Depending on that if it's a small amount it could be cleared by laser treatment or if it's a lot then partial or full hysterectomy maybe the option.

Ok off to do that list and then try and clear the list. :rotfl:
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.
