Morning all. Sorry didn't get time to post yesterday and have caught up on posts. Solwaykid tell us about the date!!! Or non date LOL. Hugs to everyone.
Well, brilliant day yesterday, playgroup and visiting IL's (who made lunch and walk my dogs - result!) and then DH came home early as he had missed DS day before so I got chance to finish yesterdays list and then sort through christmas hamper stuff and put my feet up. Then one of the worst nights we've ever had with DS, I was up 5 times, DH 2 and then I in the end I had to pace the floor with him for an hour at 4am, managed to get another hour at of him and then it was up. So about 4 hours sleep for me. Its not a pretty sight! So hes back in bed and I'm wired on coffee!

I have a BIG decision to make. You might remember I said about our names had been down for a house in a council area but they said they'd sent a form out and we haddn't returned it (I never received it) so they'd removed us off the waiting list. We'd been on since 2000 and I was a tad annoyed. Anyway I complained to the head of department aswell as a councillor and got a letter this morning to say if we complete this application form they will put us back on the list from the date we originally applied which would put us higher on the waiting list. I need to decide if we still want to apply for this area or not. Just shows complaining gets you everywhere as I also got a £5 boots voucher this morning after a complaint. See if we get this house we have the deposit on, we'll be tied to a 12 month lease and if we got offered a house within the year would have both to pay for, or turn it down, decision time!! I suppose it won't hurt to be on the list as you can refuse 3 before having application suspended for a year..One day I might be more organised...........

Lil_me.. do it!!! If nothing else comes up they might just have the perfect house waiting for you.. could you add to the areas you would consider living in to increase your chances of a new house with them too???
I've just rang about the boiler installation and am looking at getting £600 knocked off our bill!!!!! Definitely a bonus.. I LOVE to complain!!!!!!!!!!!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Seems sensible choice doesn't it Pigpen, no harm in applying as it's not going to cost us anything if we turn one down. Our names were down for the most wanted area through there to be honest, nicest one, we'd been offered one just before they took the application off ( 2.5 years ago) but was Xmas time and I was in and out of hospital so couldn't move at the time, aswell as that the one we were offered had a teensy corner for a garden (no good when your child can't play out further than that). The girls reaction when I called to say about it was 'You should have been offered one by now I think' then she found it had been cancelled. So it would probably put us close to the top of the list really. I think I might have a look up there this week aswell, see if it's still as nice as it was 7 years ago.
Well done, £600 is some savingOne day I might be more organised...........

Im with you on that one pigpen. I hate wearing shoes, get frequently told off around work for not having them on, go to the shops without them (co-op one said i must wear them to go in there, i told em to poke it), walk around outside without them, i just dont like wearing them either.
