Just read through al the posts and I am so useless at remembering who said what!

Juli - thats exactly something my DD2 would do with shoes - we have a trauma about them most days!

This morning DD2 had red ink all over her - she had been making 'vampire blood' apparantley! It's now off her and all over the bathroom so may have to swap my days around!

    So far I have:

Hoovered downstairs - need to do daily as LO is crawling!
Done a washload and put on airer - pouring down here today
    S & S'd kitchen after breakfasts
Found 5 ebay items - just need to photo them now
Put away the Tesco wine delivery that came last night - half for me and half for the hampers!

Happy flying all - must get on now!! xx

    Morning everyone,

Forgot to post yesterday to update - I completed level 3 yesterday as well as doing a few extras, including hoovering the communal hallway, and getting rid of all of the spiders (my elderly neighbour was most impressed and congratulated me on doing such a good job when I saw her this morning). My friend is coming over at 1 to pick me up for lunch, so must make sure that I spend 5 minutes in each room decluttering today as the clutter has slowly crept in again. Have found that clipping the timer to my jeans pocket has really helped me to get going, as I set it for 30 mins at a time and then have a short break.

Hope you managed to get some more of your assignment done lil_me, and I'm glad that you have such a supportive DP, even if it did take him a little while to work out why you were upset. Fingers crossed that you get it in, or get an extension - I still remember my friend rushing me the 40 odd miles to Southampton to hand in my dissertation when I was at uni, and boy was I stressed then - I was still doing it the morning it had to be in, the reprographics lady had disappeared so I had to wait 30 mins to get it bound, and then we got stuck in traffic. I got it in in the end though and got a First for it and I cried when I got the results. I'm sure you'll have done a lot better than you thought you have, cos I thought that I had failed too. Still, as the saying goes, whatever doesn't kill us, makes us stronger.

Sorry to hear that your scan didn't go as expected tinselfairy.
AnW'sMum that bill is amazing! Can't imagine that ours will be as low unfortunately.

Well off to go and use some more electricity and increase our bill by doing some hoovering in the bedroom. Did all of the other rooms yesterday, but knew it was the bedroom today so thought I'd leave that til today. Just thought - Ebony is curled up on the bed asleep, so maybe I'd best not disturb him. Will just have to do the dusting instead, as this is quieter.

Right mouse, stop waffling, and putting off the inevitable cleaning frenzy to prevent CHAOS, and get on with it - talking to yourself is a sign of madness I hear! lol

    Catch up with everyone later,

    Sexymouse xx

  • Well what a thread, i have just recently had my lightbulb moment and that is how I found this site, I love this thread, it has really given me a kick up the b****m and a great boost. Last night I tried the utility comparison site and just by ringing up the same company(gas and electricity) i am with will save £400 a year, I was on their capped rate (since 2006 until 2010, stupidly believed this was cheaper) by changing to an online account. Anyway back to this site have kept pretty much up to date so far and hopefully this will continue, so thanks again ladies.
Going to try and do menu planner now!

    Morning all

One load of washing done and draped round upstairs, it's wet and cold out there.

After yesterday I don't have much to do at all, just normal tidying round and washing up etc. Goodo :D

3 hours on assignment last night when we got in, got to bed at 3am, up at 7am and another hour so far this morning, still more to do but need 5 minutes and a cuppa! I haven't had a coffee then sat here wondering why my brain isn't functioning!!! There is one CMA (computer marked assignment) left to do which is due in this time next week but that looks much easier, less writing aswell, boy my wrist hurts! I look & feel like cack, lack of sleep I think.

I spoke to the tenants referancing thingy people this morning who said we should hear today or tomorrow at the latest about the house, which I wasn't expecting, I thought would be next week. So keep all fingers crossed for us! DS2 all the way back from school yesterday just kept saying 'Want to move, when can we move?' When I said not for a while he said 'Why' I just had to say how much money it costs, I'm not even telling them we're looking until I have the keys for somewhere or they'll be so disappointed.

I did vacuum after DS1 went out to school so the 'extra dog' has been removed off the floors, I've also done a load of washing which looking at the clouds will have to go on airers. Managing to get some packing boxes off freecycle which I am collecting tomorrow.

Hope everyone is well :) hugs to anyone who needs one.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • Morning everyone. Hugs all round. This place grows daily. I had a bit of a slow start to the week having done sweet FA. My kitchen so needs doing and the parents are staying this weekend so need to get it slightly nicer!!

I WANT RATS. Hurmph, all this talk of em makes me miss mine :(

Theres so much going on now that i forget who i wanted to send hugs to so have one all round everyone and hoping loved ones are feeling better / behaving better / things are smoothing them selves out.

    Right plan of campaign...
    Manic Monday - Kitchen
    Clean floors
Clean oven if you didn't do it last week

Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Vacuum floors and sofas - with my lovely clean hoover which sucks extra well now!!

    Wednesday, Master Bedroom and Landing
    Level 1
    Check fire alarms are working
    Level 2
Dust surfaces and make sure no cobwebs
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort one area of clothes or linen storage making sure only what should be in there is. anything that has had its day or doesn't belong there should be removed.
Sort through a box of junk that has found it's way to your room!

So thats my list. It doesnt seem that bad when i remove everything that doesnt need doing! (only as i did them at the weekend as i was so slow last week!)

Right back to work and no more time wasting!
    Bye

window fitters have just arrived and they are everywhere. I've had to move loads of stuff aroun d in our room so they can get to the windows. Its a mess!! I'd also emptied my drawer unit and thats everywhere too....I wanna cry.
Not sure how long they'll be, so not sure how much I'll get done, but I'm certainly going to have to put my room back together!

lil_me things are sounding much more positive, keeping fingers crossed here for you about the house. The boys will be so excited when they are told 'we are moving' :D I would be tempted to wrap the keys up in a box for them to open.
